He was really good for Carolina and then flamed out with the infamous clip of him smoking a stogie as he left the cop shop.

After that he went to a SB and took the Titans to a 13-3 record...

Yeah, he was okay with the Panthers, sucked with the Saints, went to New York and got to a super bowl, and then was okay in Tennessee.

Good call.

It seems the key to being a high round draft pick bust is being picked by a team that is locked into at least a decade of terrible play.

Several TB guys, Arizona. It is a bit shocking Detroits post-Barry run didn't produce anyone other than Mike Williams and that's stretching it.

Cris Carter?

Jenkins should be a playmate for Bray. You never know.

I actually REALLY liked Charles Rogers. Drugs, and injuries ruined his career. He had real potential though.

I don't remember Mike Williams. I remember Roy Williams. Fast, but he was always getting hurt.

I knew there was another one, but I couldn't remember who it was. They were both Lions WR flops. Roy wasn't so bad, I guess, but he definitely never lived up to his draft spot.

Collins & Dilfer. The 2 worst NFL QBs to get super bowl rings.

Mike Williams. The Guy from Southern Cal. Took the year off with Clarett. Played with the seahawks two years ago.

Do you mean Brad Johnson and Dilfer?

The Lions drafted Rodgers, Roy Williams and Mike Williams back to back to back in the 1st round in 2003, 2004, 2005.

IIRC, Brad Johnson had a career year in 2002 when TB won the super bowl, and was actually a very good QB. He was sort of the anti-Alex. Lousy efficiency but decent production.

I am under the impression that Doug Williams and Rob Johnson were a step up from Dilfer & Colllins, but I could well be wrong.

Your memory is completely faulty.

Rob Johnson, the USC QB drafted by Jacksonville, traded to Buffalo and was later with the Bucs? He sucked ass. Strong arm, no accuracy.

Doug Williams was a very good quarterback on a some very bad Tampa Bay teams, although he did take his team to their first NFC Championship. He was very good in the USFL and won a Super Bowl in Washington.

I was going more down the line of Kerry Collins not having a SB ring.

Watching Bettis in action gave me a hardon, he could literally crush backers but also had those oh-so nimble feet and deceptive quicks.

I'd love for the Chiefs to find his reincarnation.
