9-7 is the ceiling. 8-8 is the most likely scenario.

The defense won't be as great as last year, and the offense won't be much different than the last two years.

When you post, are you sitting in a shit-filled Depends, while masturbating?

He's 31. :)

And Steve Young won his SB in his 10th NFL season. :D

Did he offer you a spot in his Mile High Club for posting this?

Really? Chris Borland retired, some scrub named Patrick Willis, and Justin Smith are gone. They fired Jim harbaugh, gone is Vic Fangio, Greg roman Michael Crabtree, and perrish Cox. Frank Gore is in Indy. Where should they be ranked?

Reerun_KC 05-13-2015 07:51 AM

Still laughing at the OP... "I kinda like it, let them sleep on us" Sleep on us? You cant sleep on a team whos franchise has been asleep for the last 30 years...

No team has ever felt worried that they are waking the Chiefs... Nor has any fanbase....

I could care less about what some dork thinks team's power rankings are in May.

So you care a whole bunch?

Rankings that use objective metrics, such as Jeff Sagarin's (oddly enough, which appear on USA Today) have ranked the Chiefs in the top 10 in the league in the last few seasons. His numbers take into account wins, strength of schedule, margin of victory...you know, the type of things that have actual predictive power unlike these popularity polls.

Chiefs were a top ten team last year despite a god-awful offensive line. If the line simply becomes league average, we'll be as good as any team in the league. Nobody wants to hear such stuff, though, because this board is full of anti-homer bed wetters.

You're exactly right - A god-awful line + WR's who were just as bad....A little improvement will go a LONG way this season. Laughable that anyone would have them at #24 and behind the jags no less. LMAO

It's just ignorant ass sports writers

PECOTA predicted the Royals to have 72 wins and Grantland.com had them at #24 on the power rankings a year after going to game 7 of the World Series.

Yeah ... I'm sorry ... I don't take big market power rankings very seriously.

Since Reid, the Chiefs have gone 11-5 and 9-7 (including wins against both Super Bowl contestants). This is the best roster Reid has had since coming to KC and suddenly we're going to be a bottom third NFL team?

Riiiight.

Yes. 8-8 at best. Clay said so. It's iron clad.

I don't put stock into them either but when they have us a bottom tier team is just ludicrous.
