Russell Wilson is the best player, THE BEST PLAYER, on the Seahawks. He's not going anywhere. He is a winner and will be recognized as the face of the NFL (with Aaron and Andrew) for the next decade.

This board is so dumb when it comes to QB play.

Hootie 06-21-2015 09:16 PM

This is the same board that thinks Flacco is a top 5 QB, though, so I don't know why I even bother

Do you think that if Our team has a similar overall talent level than Seattle in 2013, We could get to the SB with Alex?

Not a Alex vs Wilson Q. Just wondering

Hootie 06-21-2015 09:18 PM

I think that if Russell Wilson was a Chief we'd be heavy Super Bowl favorites. Do I think that about Alex Smith? No. And I think Alex is a decent QB

Sweet Daddy Hate 06-21-2015 09:19 PM

This is probably just lowball tactics on the part of SEA, there is no way in hell they let Wilson walk.

Abso-****ing-lutely.

We've had the Russell Wilson talk on here before, and with Pioli and Haley here, Wilson would likely have ended up on the practice squad even with outplaying Cassel and Quinn 1000% through training camp and preseason, because Pioli was connected to Cassel at the groin. I mean shit, Pioli took Jon ****ing Baldwin over Colin Kaepernick against his staff's wishes.

But yeah, back to the point, the Seahawks would be stupid to trade him right now for pretty much any compensation short of a Herschel Walker or Ricky Williams sized deal, unless they really just don't want to sink 25 mil/per into any player.

6-2 in the playoffs, 1-1 in Super Bowls.

He averages less than 200 yards in the playoff games Seattle has won. I mean the guy threw 4 interceptions in a playoff game and still won. He won a playoff game where he had 103 yards passing.

There are about 12 QBs in the league who would have the same playoff record or better if they played for Seattle.

And he won because he made a bunch of ****ing spectacular plays at the end.

Meanwhile Alex lost a playoff game because he literally did almost nothing the whole ****ing game. Couldn't even convert a ****ing third down.

See the difference?

You're not very good at watching football, bud

Bowser 06-21-2015 09:29 PM

But he threw for 300 yards IN ONE HALF in a playoff game they lost....

The press would be all over our jocks.

I don't thin any QB would have made us SB favorites last year with the OL and WR's we had.
This year? Yeah I can see that.

Sweet Daddy Hate 06-21-2015 09:30 PM

Wilson has the guts that Alex doesn't.

He is far younger, and moar powerful.
