That's bound to change.

I forgot what this feels like. I don't like losing to the As.

Prison Bitch 04-17-2016 05:04 PM

Offense is atrocious and has been since game 1. Oh well.

Oh and Soria's lack of being a cyborg is also something to be worried about

They need to be more situational with the 7th and 8th inning guys.

Soria has done dick to justify being 'the guy' in high leverage situations.

They're going to HAVE to trade for another productive bat. Maybe Jay Bruce.

The two most troubling things that can happen for the Royals this year is happening.

1.) We can't hit....again....for long stretches at a time.

2.) Ned has to make crucial bullpen decisions if someone is not a cyborg this year. It's decision time Ned, and sticking Soria in the 8th can't be the continued decision.

The most troubling person at the plate has been Gordon, so far. He never really looked right last year after coming back from his injury. I wonder if there's still some issues there.

He's always struck out a lot. It's one of the reasons going into this season I was ok with him signing somewhere else. It wasn't so much that I wanted him to leave but was ok if it happened because he just IMO strikes out too much.

What happened to a box score?

I really don't think we're ever going to have an offense like last year in the playoffs again. That's a once in a generation type thing. 9 guys all hitting well at the plate, making contact, grinding out every AB, just relentless 1 through 9. I think that was a big reason why Joe Buck said it may have been the best team he ever covered. It just doesn't happen very often, most teams have holes in their lineup.

Corner OF should be a spot where we can upgrade at the trade deadline though.

This explains a lot.

Alex thinks he is raising money for cancer research.

Reds would want too much. Also I don't think that position is hurting the team.

It's not hurting us yet. Unlike our setup man is.

CoMoChief 04-18-2016 03:47 AM

Alex Gordon and Joakim Soria have been major disappointments so far.
