Something like this:

• Media Center
• Porn (I mean Pictures)
• Outdoors
• Handy Man Corner

Funnels discussions into appropriate areas and keeps people from having to sift through a bunch of garbage threads to discuss what they want to discuss.

End megathreads. Nobody wants to sit and read 300 pages of shit.

Speaking of subforums, I still don't understand the concept of draft talk being relegated to the suburbs. I get dc and media center, but we've had a shortage of football discussion for what seems to me to be years.

And there need to be some obvious troll guidelines. Tiger is basically another goatcheese. People don't want him gone because they disagree, they want him gone because he's disagreeable. But maybe that kind of ruleset is impossible to do without slippery sloping into the board being a popularity contest or mods just kicking anyone abrasive. Which would get us all banned eventually. You crusty ****s.

I understand the draft talk thing. It's often a wonky subject, and if draft news is sufficiently juicy to merit traffic it will find a way into the main forum anyway.

People don't really come here to discuss the relative merits of 5 different mid-major OTs in September, but if there's talk of Dorsey bundling picks to move into the top 5, we'll be talking about in The Lounge.

Like, you might go to an electrical engineering forum to stay up on current events in the trade, but you wouldn't necessarily want pages and pages of discussions on sizing and milling standards for NEPA enclosures.

How would you do that? Limit threads to certain number of pages? Posts? It's a mega thread because people are posting it it.

I never get involved in the contentious threads like those Alex ones. Like you said douchebaggery. But, douching on Alex is going to occur. Killing a type of thread is not the answer.

Here is my take on this...

1. Have a list of what you are not allowed to do and what will get you banned
2. Enforce the list

Hemi-ed posts some of the greatest car pics on Facebook. That warms the cockles of my heart.:)

If people aren't interested it will drop off the front page. Besides, douchebaggery is an inherent part of Chiefs Planet.

He is talking more of the 2017 FA mega thread or OTA thread. I would keep ones like Royals and MMA.though.
