Having Revis' corpse on the roster for a few weeks really skews this answer. During his peak he was one of the all time greats, and it's the biggest position of need on a team a couple of defensive stops away from a SB title.

There should be a minimum, like they had to have played at least 2 full seasons for KC.

I don't recall any one player who could wreak such devastating havoc on opposing QB's like Derrick Thomas could.

As fond as I am of all the other players mentioned,

Bobby Bell in a time machine would be a practice squad player. Would be a 3 or 4 year project.

For this current team I'd take Emmitt Thomas or James Hasty. We need a nasty corner big time.

What about Ty Law as well? If you are going CB that makes you pick from Emmitt Thomas, Dale Carter, Albert Lewis, Ty Law and Darrell Revis.. tough choices

Don't kill the messenger, but NFL Network is reporting that Eric Berry's heel is 100 percent now and that he's still looking for a team.

Thomas is in the pro football HOF for a reason. He was a bad ass. That's why I picked him. Albert would be OK, he was the best punt blocker in Chiefs history, but he was also a Raider....so....sorry that deducts style points!

I think you're underestimating him.

Bobby Bell ran a 4.5 at 230lbs. in his prime. Put him in a weight program and it would probably take him one off-season.

He'd also have to learn about a lot of defensive concepts. Coverage concepts were crude in his day.

My choice would be Albert Lewis. Long, lean, fast. He could run with current receivers and has the length to match up with monsters. He brings the added bonus that he can block kicks. Dude had a knack. When he got to the kicker, his agile hands meant he didn't miss the kick.

I will say we need someone with DTs heart. But i think that's mahomes.

It's hard to choose "just one" will all of the phenomenal players who were cheated out of a Superbowl. But, with the pass happy league we live in, I'm going to have to choose Derrick Thomas. There are loads of others who would help, like Emmitt Thomas, Albert Lewis, Dale Carter, Eric Berry, Neil Smith, Ty Law, Darrell Revis, Willie Lanier, Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, etc...
