The play-call was a fake punt; someone didn't get the memo and snapped the ball to Colquitt who was never supposed to get the ball. Blocking assignments weren't for a punt so Pats blocked the botched punt attempt. Check the replay in slow-mo; easy to see the up-back try to reach out and grab the ball as it goes by him.

Yeah, it seemed like it was supposed to be a direct snap to Jordan Lucas who was either supposed to do something akin to Albert Wilson against the Falcons in 2016 or find Sherman right over the middle with a pass.

The bye is huge, but losing Thornhill and Okafor while adding Suggs isn’t an upgrade.
