Damn sun is heating things up already. Going to 95° today and going to be 100° in a few days. Thank God for the community pool.

Awesome.

I NEVER could have imagined being on this schedule 10 years ago. I can rarely sleep past 5 am anymore. Lol

welcome to getting older... Why use an alarm clock when you have a bladder that wakes you up every morning at 6?

Went to gym at 5:30 this morning. Did some gardening afterwards. Played hot wheels with the toddler for an hour, had friends in the backyard to dye Easter eggs.

Finished up the early afternoon with another Royals win.

Great day!

You were a busy little beaver.

What, no cocktails??? :hmmm:

Back in the day I wouldn't even be home yet.

I haven't been woken up by an alarm clock in years. Even on days where I get up by 4:30 to go to the gym....my body just knows as wakes before (usually around 4).

Trying to even just stay in bed past 6 is mostly dependent on the toddler waking up around that time.

I only had one drink today, some mango whiskey. Just wasn't feeling the boozing today so snacked this afternoon instead.

Why Not? 04-04-2021 05:15 AM

I used to be able to sleep in with the best of them. Then I had kids. Now I’m up at between 5:30 and 6 everyday, no matter what. My wife can sleep in and the kids now sleep in (on weekends) but not me. Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed, although that’s gotten drastically different as well (as in it happens much earlier), I will wake up at the same time. Haven’t used an alarm in years. I like it, for the most part, although there are certainly days I wish I could sleep late.

Got up at 5:39 am, took my 3 pills, took a piss turned on coffee pot, turned on TV, played silly Wordle games, checked into CP, grabbed my cigars, headed to porch and here I sit after an hour on cigar #1 of 3 with my coffee and Kings of Leon playing on my Pandora station.

My cigars this morning:
1. Hoyo de Monterrey Excaliber
2. Macanudo Cafe Hyde
3. Montecristo Platinum Series Toro

Yeah. It’s not great. But this cat disked it. Not what I’d have done but whatever.

We now farm dry land with a brush hog. Leave the weeds to hold the soil, mow once and pretend land prices will hold.

Landed at KCI at midnight last night. Up now and getting caffeinated at Messenger Coffee downtown. Hitting Slap’s BBQ for some ends and sausage later. Goat & Rabbit tonight.

Lot G and **** THE BILLS tomorrow.

It’s always so good to be home.

Got up, showered and shaved, had a phone conversation with the old man and then ran to Orvis for a jacket for upland hunting (I started upgrading my gear last year and trying to get it most finished this year) and walked out spending more than I was planning/supposed to.

Oh well, it’s only money, right?
