He's gonna hit that DRob triple move route that Pat loves to hit him on every now and again. The Post-Corner-Post.

For sure.

Unless we sign OBJ or something, I was planning on viewing it this way:

WR 2A - FA (Landry?) or Trade (Lockett? Laviska?)
WR 2B - JuJu Smith-Schuster
WR 2C - Rookie
WR 3 - Marquez Valdes-Scantling
WR 4 - Mecole Hardman
WR 6 - Special teams random dude

I don’t want to see us give up many picks, but if Olave starts to slip…I’m all for that. He seems like he was born for our offense.

He has what the Chiefs needed right now, speed and size. He will help free up the field and allow other Chief receivers to do well.

Your catch rate is going to suffer the further downfield your targets are.

He has 7 drops the last two years. Pretty sure both Tyreek and Kelce had more in 2021 alone.

Hardman is going to be higher on the depth chart than most people on here are projecting

This sums him up perfectly. His second year Packer fans were in love with him. Everyone thought he was going to be the next big thing. Just never happened because he's just not very good at actually playing football.

If anyone can make him look good, it's Reid and Mahomes. So we'll see.

Seems like he’s a definite upgrade over DRob/Pringle which is where he is projected to be on the Chiefs depth chart, yes?

Definitely starting to look that way. Versatile guys that are interchangeable.

That's one thing I really like about Shenault - guy can play all three positions rather well.

Hard to double one guy when all of the rest of your WRs can succeed at something.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 03-24-2022 02:40 PM

Hardman will be the #1 most likely

Tyreek's biggest drop cost us a Super Bowl appearance.

Financially, yes. Talent wise, they are looking for a core of good receivers instead of one JAG and a bunch of trash.

dannybcaitlyn 03-24-2022 02:41 PM

A piece of shit who can’t catch! **** Veach!

ForeverIowan 03-24-2022 02:41 PM

Go out and get an alpha in the draft and I am fine with this:

WR1 - Draft
WR2 - Juju
WR3/4 - Hardman/MVS
TE1 - Kelce

I also think this signing allows Veach move away from Hardman if he has any sort of market in 2023.

Hoover 03-24-2022 02:41 PM

Yeah, Veach isn't going to just let them bracket Kelce all game.

I'm surprised at the money, but I like the player.

CoMoChief 03-24-2022 02:41 PM

MVS is a good deep threat.

Anything is gonna be considered a Meh signing since we just traded away the biggest HR threat in the NFL.

That would not be good… for him or the Chiefs.

MVS was headed to the Saints until last minute when we threw more money
