Seems like we have gotten some mixed news today. Optimism from the family, plus 50% oxygen instead of 100% from the machine. That all seems very positive. But if Damar's uncle is correct that there was a 2nd cardiac event at the hospital, that seems pretty troublesome. Really hope he is able to have big improvement in the coming hours and days.

I had read where they were able to cut his oxygen from 100% to 50% and were basically weaning him off of it to see how his lungs respond. I think lung damage has been the biggest concern but the info sounds positive.

Brain damage always the worry. Not just from lack of oxygen during arrest (no heart beat, no blood to brain, no oxygen) but after resuscitation, the body goes into hyperdrive and you get alot of inflammation.
Fever and swelling aren't good for neural tissue. |
