I kinda wonder if Veach like, has a personal rivalry with Schoen where he really wants to take all the Giants WRs (which were their Giant excuse last year) and make them seem productive just to stick it to Schoen.

Victor Cruz had 1500 yards and 9 TDs that year. Hakeem Nicks had 1200 yards and 7 TDs. Calling them no names is a bit of a stretch.

Cruz was really good until he wrecked his knee and then he was never the same again.

Right. And I kinda remember Víctor Cruz which is why I didn’t stop there. But if you walked up to an NFL fan and said hey what do you think about Victor Cruz/Hakeem Nicks you’d most likely get a blank stare and a “who?” Versus Edleman Amendola, Sanders, OBJ etc. you most definitely would get a “who?” on those Saints receivers.

If he exceeds Hardman's 297 yards, it's a win. You can argue all day about Hardman only playing 8 games but in the end, it's still only 297 yards.

If Hardman had a pronounced injury history, I’d agree with you. But that’s really not the case.

He's been converted, I guess.

At least on the depth chart.

He was one of "my guys" in the draft last year, curious if he has a chance to hit the field this year.

Another sneaky good depth addition for the Chiefs.

So who does that give us in the WR room:

Toney
MVS
Moore
James
Ross
Ross
Powell
Ealy

Hmmm.

....Hmmm.

How many yards do each of these guys put up this year?

Not a 1k yard WR amongst them.

I'm guessing MVS leads this squad with near ~900 yards

Toney has his breakout year for 650+

Moore progresses for ~450

Final thought, this WR room would feel a lot more complete if we added a high talent X WR. A trade up for Q Johnston, maybe even AT Perry at #31.

What do you guys think?

It’s simply a question of has it been done before. I was really looking for another Patrick record to break. Stop reading so deep

My tatas are entirely calm. I just think household name is weird. Guys get to be known by production, and just because we have a young group doesn't mean they are inherently lesser, just means they haven't done it YET.

Definitely should trade up in the 1st if the right guy is available. What are they going to do with 10 picks anyway?

I would like to sign Watson on a cheap deal for 1 year to return punts, provide depth for injuries which always occur and a veteran for the younger guys.

Not sure of the hate for him from so many.

He is very serviceable.

Hardman is going to make $4-4.5M this year, $3.58-4.08M of that guaranteed. I'm sure we won't pay James anywhere near that. My guess is that the Chiefs looked at Hardman's inability to run a consistent route and said "**** it". Then there's last year's injury. Who knows how soon that will pop up again. Veach plays 5D chess and the Jets, without a QB, struggle with checkers.
