I like quordle because the easiest ones still mean 7/9 for the last quadrant, where the average is almost always down to the last guess or two.

The benefit is you can technically use every number and symbol in your first two tries.... I've never put effort into remembering what I use, but will usually knock out all but one or two, then use the next guess or two to figure it out.

It was a little annoying before they started determining 1+2+3 is the same as 2+1+3.. that was a nice change.

Dang! That almost happened to me. Fortunately, I guessed right on the 6th try.

I use 12+35=47 as my opening guess. Plus seems to be the most common operator, two digit numbers seem to be the most common answers, and this guess knocks out a good number of numbers, including the common “1”.

After that, finding exactly where the equal sign goes, and which operator goes where is the priority, with less emphasis in exploring untried digits. I can usually do it in less than 10 minutes. There was one a few days ago that I was struggling to come up with a legal answer that used all of the revealed info. I was running out of time and wouldn’t be able to return to the puzzle before it ended. I had to use a guess that couldn’t possibly be correct to reveal more info, then got it right away on the next guess. I usually find Nerdle to be the most fun of the three I play daily.
