I absolutely hate vrabel because of “checks notes” his belief in a high power. GO LEO
|
For some reason the only got 14 snaps against the Falcons.

I do love that sad nostalgic smile that Belichick gives when people bring up his good ol days.
You can tell he’s miserable |

Played 32 (50%) snaps against the Bengals. Played 14 (23%) snaps against the Falcons. What do the Falcons do that the first two teams don't do. |
The Falcons got dominated in TOP and then had to pass constantly to catch up.
So that would explain that. |
Quote:
Bengals 25 passes 32 rushes Falcons 29 passes 25 rushes It will be nothing to do with TOP or pass rate, it will be personnel. Falcons must have played a lot more 11 and the Chiefs matched with a sub package, rather than playing base. |

I can't wait to see how good he becomes. Side note: I almost feel like the defense would be better if you swapped Gay and Bolton. Bolton is a tackling machine, but he cannot cover, is slow, and maybe needs other players to succeed to make a splash play like running down a QB. Gay wasn't the brain that Bolton is, but he was definitely faster and more athletic. |
Leo Chenal doesn't believe in God. God believes in Leo Chenal.
|
Nice article on him on Athletic today.
Summary is he’s one of 5 hybrid LBs in the league, including Gay. Best of the group by a wide margin. |

What games do you watch? I am going to say something very unpopular (maybe): Nick Bolton needs everyone else to win to make an impact on a play or a game. I don't know how many people consistently watch the All-22, but Bolton is not a play maker that flies around making plays. He collects tackles like crazy but it's rarely because he made a play himself, but almost always, when he makes a play, it's because someone else won a one-on-one battle, or the defensive line wrecked the offense, etc. He cannot cover a TE, even a little. He is a very good player, but I hope we don't give him a huge contract. He is probably going to be one of those guys that leaves for more money, and in two or three years whatever team he goes to will try to trade him (back to the Chiefs maybe) or cut him because of his salary. |
Quote:
Ray Lewis would eat when his defensive line was cooking, but, the difference is he could also dominate a game with a group of backup defensive linemen. Hell, even FW from the Niners isn't Ray Lewis, but, he is more athletic and makes plays in space that Bolton can't make. I love Bolton, even as a Jayhawk, but I just don't want to pay him like a premium LB because he isn't really a premium LB, he's just the LB we currently have. If he had any sort of ability in coverage, I would feel slightly different, but he can't even cover slow ass blocking TEs. |

Football guy

Someone said he’s, pound-for-pound, the strongest guy on the team and I’m starting to believe it.

Not only did he leap three football fields to block the kick, but if you watch the snap he put the LG on his ASS.

I love this guy
|
He's really, really good. He's one you just about HAVE to keep.
Also a very good argument for why you DON'T trade away mid-round picks willy nilly. We need (young) guys like this to continue winning. |
With due respect to Dan. He's Sorenson with extreme talent

Cause he white. Amirite? |

This guy might be pound-for-pound the strongest MFer in the NFL. What he did to #54 on that FG was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. He pulverized that dude to an extent where I don’t think he’ll ever live it down. It was like he was a toddler.

Lo and behold. Thanks Leo for bailing us out. |

Sorry but uh, there's no comparison other than they are white. Leo is literally a freak athlete. |

I noticed at the end of the game vs the Ravens he was on spy duty and did a good job of that too I thought. |

I really hope we keep him. Yeah he'll have games where he's beaten in coverage, but man what a beast. Honestly think we can get some pass rush from him and there's even more to come

I thought to myself, “Oh shit we started off strong, here we go. This is going to get good.” |

Leo is becoming a core guy on this team. What he did yesterday epitomizes who the Chiefs are, their identity of “whatever it takes”.
He’s a keeper. |
