I agree. It still seems may be a little odd to wait after you’ve resuscitated someone.

My guess, based on almost no information is that he had an arrhythmia after the hit, and they were able to cardiovert him, and now he is stable enough to wait

At the end of the day, I love to hate the Bills and Bengals.

But the rivalries are fun and the games bring joy to all of our lives. Fans of all three teams love the battle and love the game.

Prayers for Demar Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills family.

Please god let this young man be ok.

With CPR being administered, that takes this do a different level when trying to compare to other times players have been seriously hurt and the game was continued.

This is no way the players can play tonight after this unless they get some great news about Damar Hamlin’s health.

The heart doesn’t dislodge. It becomes an electrical issue. His heart stopped, either from ventricular fibrillation (most likely) or asystole.

What the heck causes that?

I think times are different and generations of football players are different. CTE has increased awareness of the cost of the game to one's future. Millennials and Gen Z have a different attitudes toward work, and put more emphasis on their life outside of work (football). Not a bad thing, in my opinion.

If he was defibrillated and had CPR, it’s serious as ****.

My hope is that it was a jolt to the sternum that caused his heart to stop. Or maybe it will be the incident that reveals Hamlin had a congenital anomaly that finally surfaced after that hit

Makes the most sense just to play tomorrow night and resume the game, but then these teams both get short weeks.
