The point (that LeBron very rarely was ever on the best team in the league during his career) is a valid one. If you care about context that is.

MJ's statistical peak was in the late 80s. I wonder what happened at the end of those seasons.

"Statistical peak"

LMAO

There you go being a robot again.

You still want to have that argument of who's ignoring context? LMAO

:o)

Sure thing buddy, MJ was actually on the decline when he won 6 championships. Absolutely amazing shit that only increases his legend actually.

Imagine if he didn't have to do it all by himself in the 80s? He'd have 9-10 easily.

MJ's two best seasons by VORP in his entire career ended with his team getting shit kicked out of the playoffs by the Pistons. I wonder why that was.

Can you imagine how many titles mid-20s physical prime LeBron would have racked up if he didn't waste that time on a garbage team where Mo Williams was his best #2?

Things to ponder.

Well we do know for a fact he'd have 5 if he simply did what MJ did and win all of the ones he was favored in.

This is every bit as ridiculous as somebody using that Brady owning Mahomes in the playoff narrative when Mahomes was a puppy learning how to win still. As if Brady didn't also have a much better team around him every time they played in the playoffs.

No, because anybody with half a brain can see the difference.

Mahomes was let down by his OL and WRs.

While the Heat and Wade were let down by Lebron.

Did you even watch that series? Do you have any idea how bad Lebron was? I posted the 4th quarter stats a page back. Learn something before you try to make dumb ****ing comparisons.

Also why does everyone shit on LeBron for losing to the Mavs but people seem to give Brady a pass for losing to Foles and Eli twice?

If the rules are the way they are for the the NBA, then translating that to the NFL would undoubtedly mean that Montana is the GOAT

Not by me, which makes the point irrelevant. I have no idea how you got this from my response.

But when you win 7 rings, it's a little easier to get away with some choke jobs. That's just reality.

staylor26 03-27-2024 06:22 PM

Mahomes choking in the 2nd half of the AFCCG would be a much bigger deal if he didn't flllow it up with B2B rings.

The more you win, the less people focus on your losses. That's reality and it's totally fair.

That doesn't mean that Brady never choked though. Not at all.

Goes to show how different NBA is compared to NFL. MJ is the GOAT bc he was great for a good stretch of time but Montana is somehow not.

Montana was just like MJ in his career. 4-0 SB record, 11 TD’s/0 INT’s and a 100+ passer rating in all 4 games.

That will probably never be done again.

You own a cheap piece of shit franchise. You have no interest in making that cheap piece of shit franchise anything other than a cheap piece of shit franchise. Some big dick swingers with money come around and see an investment opportunity, which attracts a couple of successful leaders in Connelly and Finch, and all of a sudden you get pissy about selling off your cheap piece of shit before realizing it doesn't have to be a cheap piece of shit if you just put in some money here or there to try to make it occasionally successful.

He's pissy because he knows deep down HE'S the actual cheap piece of shit. If Minnesota fans had any ounce of pride in their team, they'd publicly badmouth Glen Taylor until he caves. Billboards, airplanes, signs in the arena, gluing themselves to the court... all of it.

Not necessarily. A legal battle over contractual interpretation could conceivably last that long and cost these guys many millions.

Looks to me like Taylor had second thoughts about selling after they got good, but we probably won’t know the outcome of this for years.

A few things.....

Why do the Suns suck so bad? They had Durant, Booker and Beal all playing tonight. Played a SGA-less Thunder in PHX and got absolutely destroyed.

The Knicks lost but Brunson goes for 61 points. He's by far the most underappreciated player in the league. How you can be this good, in New York and underrated is beyond me.

The Rockets are better without that shitball Shengoon. What a ****ing bball hack.

To not throw an INT in 4 SBs is ****ing insane.

Nah, he won’t. Also he does that in most games. Guessing the creator of that isn’t too familiar with him.

Are we looking at the same schedule? Quite literally half of those opponents are tanking.

Was at the Mavericks vs Kings game last night. Kings up all night and then Doncic/Irving take over at the end. Doncic passing game is on point is view to see in person. My wife's cousin has 5th row seats in Sac but his Kings team lets him down more often then not.

Yeah - James was fantastic today.

What a weird game. I just don't really know what Ham was trying to do with the bench rotations. Which is mostly par for the course for Darvin, but he seemed to have gotten somethings figured out.

How do you have a bench play about 60 minutes between them and do...nothing? I think they had 2 points total? They barely even shot. Just kinda went out there to pass the ball around the perimeter and absorb minutes.

I guess you could argue that he's trying to set up playoff rotations? Because that's kinda how most playoff games tend to go. It was just a weird game.

Clear hack on the shoulder. Refs were screwing him all game too.

I also had the privilege of seeing the GOAT again in person a few days ago. Decent chance it will be for the last time too.

Orlando keeps trying to fool me into thinking they're good. They'll go on a nice tear and win 8 out of 10 games and then once they get close to overtaking the 2-4 seeds, they'll start sucking and get blown out by the Hornets. Like they are at the moment...

BWillie 04-05-2024 06:05 PM

I want to go to the San Antonio @ Oklahoma City game next week but I'm afraid Wemby will be shut down and SGA & Jalen Williams won't play. They've been out at least 2 games in a row and by next week the #1 seed may be out of reach.

I'm surprised a team with two Vogners and a Markelle Fultz can even be above .500

Paulo is a god

The Wagners are fine. Fultz is meh. Their problem is they don't get much offensively from their guards. They spent a high pick on Anthony Black from Arkansas and he hasn't been good so far and I don't think he will be.

How is this one working out for you? 4-0 since the post.

Al Bundy 04-10-2024 07:59 AM

While the Warriors have no chance of winning the 'ship they have been fun to watch the last month.

Anthony Black was never good.

Man - I watched about 10 minutes of that Lakers/Warriors game last night and that was just not a fun game to watch at all.

Just a shitload of 3-point attempts. GSW was insanely hot but ultimately there just wasn't much going on. Dribble dribble, a couple passes on the perimeter, deep shot attempt. Rinse, repeat.

KC_Connection 04-12-2024 10:59 PM

Lakers into the 8 seed with 1 game to go. Sunday would be a good day for motivated AD to show up.

We will fulfill Sam Presti's destiny. We will destroy LeBron & Los Angeles and then, when it is done and the Crypto.com Center is ashes, then you have my permission to die.

Three way tie for 1st place in the West. Crazy.. there should be lots of exciting games in the playoffs.

Better OKC than Denver. If I was the Lakers, I'd intentionally lose the 1st play-in game (if they come 8th) if necessary to avoid them.
