Paul just beating up an old man at this point. Tyson only had 2 rounds in him.

People will scream "the NFL is fixed" then watch an influencer who doesn't fight actual professional boxers in their prime fight one of the GOATs at 58 years old because people are dumb enough to think he won't look 58 years old.

Who let the 58 year old in the ring?

UteChief 11-15-2024 11:30 PM

****ing boring! **** you Netflix!

Rasputin 11-15-2024 11:30 PM

That was not a fun fight to watch but I like the respect Paul gave Tyson

:shake:

arrowheadnation 11-15-2024 11:31 PM

and Paul lays down for him the last 10 seconds out of respect? I guess? At least this wasn't like $70 like most fights are.

Sassy Squatch 11-15-2024 11:31 PM

That was one of the more pathetic displays you'll ever see in 'sports'.

Kman34 11-15-2024 11:31 PM

TLO 11-15-2024 11:32 PM

That was awful. Can't believe I stayed up for this shit.

KC_Connection 11-15-2024 11:32 PM

Good deal for Tyson. Made millions just to stand in one place for 20 minutes. And Paul gets to keep up this enterprise for another bullshit fight against a non-fighter next year.

New World Order 11-15-2024 11:33 PM

Stick to movies and shows, Netflix

If this looked at all like a fair fight I would be dead set against this, but in this crazy event it seemed very appropriate.

But Father Time is undefeated, and JP only needs to drag him past the third round and this will likely devolve into what it really is; an old man nearly 30 years past his prime getting worn out by a mediocre amateur.

Hope I’m wrong, but I think we’re all in for a disappointment.

Only $$$$, Paul wins, you beat an old man twice your age! You lose, you lost to an old man over twice your age!

Paul did about as good as he could for himself. Showed he could have easily knocked Tyson out but held back knowing doing so, even if to keep his knockdown steak going, wouldn’t have been impressive.

It was so plainly obvious what this was gonna be from the beginning. I watched it hoping Tyson would get a lucky shot in the first 10 seconds of the fight because that was the only way he had any chance whatsoever. And that is of course assuming this was on the level which I doubt.

I think I speak for all of us old farts who were hoping Mike would land that one magic punch that would send that punk flying, but it just never happened. Too bad.

This is the first night I've watched boxing in years; maybe decades. Please tell me there's someone out there who can beat this prick.

WTF? I am an 80s kid.

Absolutely nothing to do with anything. The fact that I actually have seen prime Tyson is exactly why I think it's reeruned to put his name in a main event and pretend he's not 58.

But you don't need to be an 80s kid or see prime Tyson to know how stupid all of this is/was. It's a total clown show, and an embarrassment to the sport of boxing.

Yep. Best I can do to help somebody younger understand. Imagine when Mahomes retires. Then 20 years later the Chiefs re-sign Mahomes after their starter goes down. And he looks good in workouts and practice with a few highlight clips of him winging it downfield. It's hard not to get pulled in.

Frazod 11-16-2024 12:16 AM

Absolutely hilarious having Mecca explain to me over and over that I just don't get it because I wasn't there when I literally was and am a gigantic Tyson fan.

The fact that I was there is exactly why this was such a ****ing joke.

staylor26 11-16-2024 12:20 AM

It probably goes deeper than that, he was the biggest star when boxing mattered..he killed people with highlight knockouts.

He had a Nintendo game all about him when baseball games didn't even have names.

It's hard to grasp if you weren't alive for it.

Lol I should say if both were in their prime years that Jake Paul is in. He wouldn't step in the ring with Iron Mike Tyson if they were same age in Mike Tysons prime. Say if both were in their 20s

45–48-year-old George Foreman was much more impressive than 58 year old Tyson or 27-year-old Paul.

I remember that one. Toward the end Foreman was exhausted and could barely swing, but the other guy couldn't knock him down because it was like he was punching a tree.

I saw her on stage back in the early 90s. Even though she's pretty much the exact opposite of my preferred type (brunette, brown eyes, big boobs), I can say without reservation that she was the sexiest woman I've ever seen with my own eyes, by a factor. I have an autographed polaroid somewhere of me holding her in my arms after the show. Big ol' stupid grin on my face, too. :D
