Hunt or Steele for fantasy purposes?

Patrick needs to play a lot better. Too many uncharacteristic turnovers on his part. He didn't play great during the regular season last year and now isn't off to his best start this year.

I thought his game against the Ravens was very good (minus the INT). The last 2 have been well beneath his standards. His yards per pass in the last 2 games are 5.6 and 6.0 - that's bad. Now, that's not all on him, but he's not seeing the field well at all, IMO.

For one more week, probably Steele.

But I think Hunt will start eating into that snap share and will start taking goalline carries as well.

If Steele's a 3-4 yard, low explosive runner who's also not getting goalline carries, he's gonna cap at like 5-6 points/gm in a standard format.

It won't take much from Hunt at all to beat that.

Can't imagine Perine is a better option than Hunt.

Unless there's a scheme issue that's nine touches alone.

I was leaning hunt long term as well ( Stevenson /CMC, Josh brown /ford are my other RBs ) , I think hunt can take over perine job as third down back too which makes us less predictable.

Is this based on All-22? Is Mahomes missing a lot of open receivers?

Pacheco/Steele/Hunt looks like a quality room to me.

I think he's ELIGIBLE to return in week 5, but there's not a decision made that he WILL yet. But I agree, it'll be interesting to see how they handle the RB room moving forward. Assuming no one else gets hurt before Pacheco comes back, it's gonna be tough to choose only two between Perine/CEH/Hunt/Steele.

I'm curious to see Kareem in goal line & short yardage situations. I'm also curious to see Kareem as both a receiver & blocker for Mahomes in the passing game.

I don't think there is any way Steele gets put on the practice squad. For one, he'd be claimed. Also, he's clearly their 2nd favorite back on the team. Perine and Hunt aren't going to get more playing time than him and CEH isn't going to come back and get more snaps than Steele. Steele would have to play extremely bad to get bumped down the depth chart.

Steele got 62% of the snaps last week. No way they're doing that with a rookie if they think they have a better option.

What they need to do is put Mahomes under center and run it out of an I formation with Steele at the FB position and Pacheco/Hunt/Perine at HB. I can't believe we haven't seen that yet. Andy has to be saving that, because the mismatches he could get and plays he could run would make this team so much better in those situations.

He's just a far more experienced and savvy vet, his pass pro knowledge alone will put him over Steele once he's fully integrated back into the program IMO

I don’t have any expectations for Kareem to be that kind of guy at this point of his career. But I would love to see him surprise everyone in a good way.
