It's not like the NCAA has a police force or an army.

They can keep you out of the tournament, I suppose. But I'm not sure what else they could do.

If Mizzou is typical Mizzou, they'll kick ass in the SEC tourney, make the championship game and maybe win that, then get beat by four by some map direction team nobody's ever heard of in the first round of the NCAA.

I still can't believe they lost to Norfolk State last year. I mean, I DO believe it, but don't believe it.... Know what I mean???

Missouri losing in the first round is not "typical"

1) Prevent postseason participation
2) Withhold any funds garnered from postseason (all 300+ NCAA teams get a basic cut of the March tournament)
3) Refuse to acknowledge achievements
4) Strip any league titles or wins
5) Refuse to sanction any of your games/provide referees.etc.

I wouldn't give them an A on defense. They played very well, but were horrible on D the first 10 minutes of the game, then turned it on for the remainder.

Until they can prove they can win anywhere other than Columbia, I don't like their chances in the SEC Tourney OR in the NCAAs. You can't be a wretched road team and survive.

So we are both in agreement that a first round loss in the tournament for Mizzou is not "typical"

Missouri is 3-1 at neutral sites this year, with the only loss to Louisville. This includes wins against Illinois, VCU, and Stanford.

Struggling on the road doesn't automatically equal struggling at neutral sites.

Kudos for MU's win last night...good thing it was at home.

The only thing that's typical is the season ends w/ a big sledgehammer to the nuts one way or another.

Sometimes like last year it happens at the end of the reg season AND postseason!

One thing is for certain. We will not win any road games in the tournament.

Zzzzzzzz. Check the cheesy cliches at the door dude.

MU is first or second in all time tourney wins w/o a ff appearance as well as tourney berths w/o a ff appearance.

Not to mention some spectacular and inventive ways to get bent over the years in basketball as well as football.
