After .market window tinting, has it gotten any better? I know when I was younger that shit would peel really bad even if professionally installed.

Yes. I got the old school tint because my detailer recommended the guy and he talked me into not spending $300-$500 on ceramic tint. Working great so far.

People at the car shows love the SPS. No matter how cool the cars are around me are, people want to talk about the SPS.

Some of my favorite cars.......other than mine.

Sorry, I just don't see the big deal about buying a new car and entering it in a show. However, you seem very proud and your car is very nice. My point is that all the work is done for you. (Well, I guess u did have to choose the options if you ordered it and then buy it)...I love the new modern muscle cars, I own one. Its very fast and drives circles around my '68 but it does not have the pedigree of a true classic. The test of time and restoration work is whats missing in the new cars and that means something to me. Just my opinion on the subject.

I agree. The time and restoration work is whats important to me when I look at cars. It's what I find appealing.

I'm only been to 2. I'm a n00b with cars. It's a great opportunity to learn at these shows. I'm only there for a couple of hours. Maybe you guys are use to having cool cars but its a new thing for me.

Bearcat 09-27-2015 11:12 AM

It's cool to learn from car guys and show off the car, but it is odd to win trophies for something that was purchased... but, I'm sure some people with classic cars do it, too, win stuff by simply purchasing a restored car and showing up.

You would think Machens would have enough volume to get one.

Allocation is actually determined by how many competitor vehicles are sold int he surrounding area for the Focus RS.

Mid Mo isnt a Hotbed of STI sales :/

Update on my forever and a day insurance claim.

Just read the supplemental that the bodyshop finally got Liberty Mutual to acknowledge and it looks like I'm getting 3 new tires on the car (the wheel that was destroyed and the front two), so woooooooo. Means I will only have to replace one to have a new set.

I'm super happy with how thorough the body shop has been. They caught a lot of shit that the insurance affiliated body shops would have let slide and blamed on wear and tear later. They're slow as **** but my car should be as good as new when they finish it.

Why would an insurance company buy you front tires?

Because the asshole "hit" the front of the car too and the driver side developed a bubble sometime between the wreck and when the supplement was sent. The front wheel was damaged in the wreck and the other was damaged on the tow truck :D

IDIOT Hellcat Owner! Know and respect what you're driving at all times. Some people are too stupid to own certain cars.
