I think JJ Watt is or should be a pretty big target for kc. Can play de on early downs and kick inside in pass rush subs.

Draft Phillips at 31.

Phillips-watt- Jones-clark is a wicked front 4

Talk of Titans possibly trading or releasing 2020 first round pick Isaiah Wilson. He’s been a head case, but would you take a chance and offer maybe a 6th round pick?

Nope. He wasn’t a very good prospect to begin with and isn’t a fit.

Nope. Dude was a first round pick and turned into an idiot.

I'd sign him to a vet min but that's about it. Dude's lost his goddamned mind.

He or Miller paired with a premium pick DE would be a perfect use of draft capital.

Here’s my thoughts...probably file them right in the trash but here it goes.

Adding a stud defender that plays the pass and run effectively next to Jones, Clark and Nnadi would change the whole way Spags could call games. Opposing blocking units could single block our LDE all year...by adding Watt or Miller (or both) it forces opposing OLs to single block everyone and not have numbers against the blitz.

It’s like Suggs again, but getting Suggs a couple years before he fell off a cliff.

Guys like Watt and Von need to come to KC.

Yes, you can. Reddit is wrong on this. There's specific language in the CBA regarding the team he was playing for when the injury happened to have the tab on the recovery medical but there's nothing in there on them not being able to cut him. And, they don't have to reach an injury settlement with him either. It's all hogwash.

It didn't come from Reddit. This is one of several articles I found.

I don't know if that applies to cutting a player during the off season.

Nate Taylor seemed to think Fish was cuttable

He basically said that all teams manage to find a way round injury settlements.

Would be worth a conversation at least. Could sign him to the practice squad as we did with Baker and give us a chance to look at him in depth. But obviously, he has to get cut first.

I think that is correct.

I believe both Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz can be released by the Chiefs even though they are injured.

For Eric Fisher the guaranteed portion of his contract of $19,487,977 has been paid to him. Eric has a prorated bonus which will still count against the 2021 cap for $3,181,668. This would be considered Dead money. The Chiefs would save Eric's base of $11,250,000 plus his 2021 bonus money. - https://overthecap.com/player/eric-fisher/2182/

Mitchell Schwartz had $6,250,000 of guaranteed money which has already been paid. He also has a prorated bonus that would end up as $3,750,000 of dead money but would save Chiefs $6,098,750 of cap space by releasing him. https://overthecap.com/player/mitchell-schwartz/296/

The issue that people get confused by is guaranteed money. Alex Smith had a huge contract of guaranteed money with $44,000,000 which made it very costly to release even when he was injured.

I think it would be worth getting an experienced OT in someone like Orlando Brown. The only reason to stick with both of them is loyalty or if the injury isn't as bad as we thought.
