But I REALLY wish we'd have put a better effort out there in that KU game. I mean Mizzou threw away their first possession of the game, Kansas was white hot from the floor to start the game and everyone just freaked the **** out.

Credit to Kansas for absolutely hammering us when we clearly weren't ready for prime time, but I don't think that game was truly representative of who MU can be. Mizzou has demonstrated genuine tournament chops several times this year.

The team that took on Kansas wouldn't have beat a good HS squad. That moment was just WAY too big for them.
Seemed like a team that was shellshocked compared to a KU team that has some significant experience in big games, yeah. Their underlying numbers from the rest of their games have been that of a top 25 team.

Yeah. Not an 8 seed I’d want to match up against due to the sheer attention that game would have as a first weekend matchup ala KU-WSU in 2014.

Pre-season rankings just frustrate me.

Take the teams off the schedule and tell me why Kentucky should be ranked over Mizzou. Mizzou has 2, arguably 3, better wins than Kentuckys best. And Kentucky has lost to every ranked team they've played.

And maybe Kentucky is the better team. Hell they probably are. But if rankings are supposed to be a snapshot analysis, there's no legit argument to put them ahead of Missouri right now.

I guess we'll know more in an hour or so...
