As a developmental backup. LMAO

Sadly he's not even worth that anymore.

Guys like Alex Smith fail in the modern NFL. You have to be able to throw the ball down the field.

It's as simple as that.

Yes, but specifically he can't stay healthy and because of that he's hit his athletic ceiling. ( surgically operated throwing shoulder, bad knees, and the concussion issue)

There are just so many negatives with this guy.

I respect the fact that he lucked into 1.5 winning seasons but that's not enough for me to feel good.

Part of Alex Smith's concussion problem is his own stupidity. Same with RG3. Just ****ing get down and avoid defenders when you're running.

You're bound to get hurt eventually (see Trent Green).

Bad example Trent was sliding, but that mother****er popped a cheapshot on him.

Alex Smith has none.

He has done nothing but improve year after year.

that instance yes, but let's be real. Trent would be out on the wing trying to block lineman and shit.

That's why I love the ****er.

This is the recipe if you want to go to a championship game with Alex Smith:

SF 2011:

Break the record for most field goals in a NFL year

Defense allowed ZERO touchdowns rushing until week 16.

The special teams and defense broke the NFL record for worst averge opponent starting field position.

Have 47 takeaways on defense

Have 42 sacks on defense

2000 yards rushing

Defense holds for 64 rushing yards per game forcing opponents to pass.

How were the 2012 stats looking before he was injured? You know the year he was leading the league in QB efficiency rating.

Cool.

34 - 54, 63%, 393 yards, 3 TD's, 1 INT

Yeah, I think that would be just fine by me.

I feel sorry for ol' "Lil Chiefy." He was the kid that got put in the closet when people were visiting. One day, he got out and snuck outside. There was this huge dumbass tree in their back yard. He climbed all the way to the very top and fell. He then proceeded to whack every branch on the way down.

Lil' Chiefy has a terminal case of the dumbass.

The only problem is if Alex throws the ball that much, you are looking at problems.

You can't expose him like that.

Alex Myth had a high QB rating in 2011 too.

The 49ers had a stupid strong team in 2012 so I'm not sure where you're going with this.

The guy is a fraud.

mcaj22 06-29-2013 08:58 AM

Even Jon Beason knows this guy sucks

Alex Smith was basically Marty's Steve DeBerg for the 49ers...think about that....
