A slate of high-profile pro athletes including Patrick Mahomes and Naomi Osaka have joined with a tech-focused banker to form a new special purpose acquisition company seeking a business in health and wellness, entertainment or consumer-facing technology.

The SPAC—Disruptive Acquisition Corp. I—filed for a $250 million IPO with the Securities and Exchange Commission this morning. The SPAC founder is Alexander Davis, the owner of Disruptive Technology Advisors, a bank that works with tech companies in transactions such as providing liquidity for shares in privately owned companies.

I usually only invest in value / div stocks with steady growth. I have done well, but at the same time- missed many ships to the moon and back.

My risk tolerance is much lower the older I get.

FSK starting with midsize SUV at -$30k. Subbing most production to Magna. The massive SUV market and price should translate into demand. Question is if Magna can build fast enough to fullfill the demand. Holding long to see what happens.

Yes or no - Should I move some money out of FAANG stocks and into recovery stocks like restaurants, cruise lines, and retail?

I'm highly diversified so I've already got money in recovery stocks, but I'm wonder if tech's coming due for a beating and recovery stocks will have a run.

The tech crash is being manipulated-imo I bought into Apple after a big slide and still down $20.00 per share--after they had RECORD earnings-lol

I don't think the "recovery" stocks are a good value right now. They have had massive losses. Money is pouring back into REITs though.

Just do the opposite of what the "gurus" are pimping.

It seems like there's more arguments for it to go down than up. I've sold enough that I've got my original investment out and will let the profit ride, but I'm also considering selling a bit more on the hunch that I can buy it back on an upcoming dip.

I have no logical basis for this other than what I read.

Do you trade OTC stocks? If so, there are a couple of good ones that dropped with this correction that are a good entry for 100% gains. OPTI and ALYI are a couple of my favorites. OZSC has gone back up 50% already, but still should go up at least another 50%

Obviously nobody can say for certain.

What I am certain of is anyone who buys in soon will easily double and likely even triple their investment...and that's probably being conservative.

$AMC premarket $11.58

I've been in GME since the explosion in January, I FOMO'ed when it was falling and bought in way too high but then averaged down when it was in the 40's.

The key is knowing when to get out...that's an issue for me. I have a hard time finding the sell button.

I got a guy at work into GME a couple weeks ago.

He bought in at 165, then the same day it plummeted down to the 90's. He held for a week or so stressed out because he was down, then as soon as it got back up to 165 a couple days ago despite my reassurance he sold to break even. I'm still giving him shit and sending him screenshots of the current price every few hours.

LMAO

Hog's Gone Fishin 03-10-2021 09:59 AM

AMC earnings come out today. Don't really think it will cause much of a dip. Everyone knows they were closed and expect it to be negative anyway. The people holding AMC are in it for the squeeze but if it takes a good dip I'll grab a few more shares.

The issue right now is the APE gang has been instructed to set their sell limits at $500 or higher so the shares can't be borrowed to help force the squeeze. I'd feel better putting a trailing SL on now.

Strongside 03-10-2021 10:02 AM

If this market has taught us anything over the past year, it's that share prices don't behave rationally based on typical indicators like earnings. If you look back at 2020, there were bearish moves being made en masse on stocks that were sure to have shit earnings, and those people lost their asses.

AMC may dip slightly, but if it isn't significant, it's going to bounce and bounce hard.

I use Fidelity, bastards dont let you set sell limits any higher than 50% over current price. But I also read that Fidelity doesn't loan out your shares like the scumbags at Robinhood.

Poor earnings should be factored in already, everyone knows they were still shut down the 4th quarter of last year. If that does cause a significant dip I'll grab some more too though.

I added PLTR to one of my portfolios today. And then I received a trade alert to sell to open on the same stock so i did 40 contracts and collected the $8,000.00 premium . If it drops to the strike price and someone forces the stock on me that'll be okay because it's a stock I would want to own.

Well, my portfolio went red again today. Pretty much wiped out most of yesterday's gains. I should have sold some OZSC and ALYI yesterday. Could have bought back cheaper today. But, it's fine. These stocks are going to soar soon enough anyway. I just would have liked to have accumulated some extra shares with the gains.
