Actually I think he expected to be Webb's understudy at the time he committed (early 2014). He saw Mahomes throw for 600 yards and 6 TD's against Baylor. Scared him away since Mahomes was younger than Webb. Stidham wasn't gonna see the field for a long time. Good decision by him to go somewhere else.
