ChiefsPlanet - Chiefs Brett Veach hopes Chris Jones can play next week; increased talks last 2 days

I'm at the point where I won't be sick if we lose him. Trading Tyreek worked out just fine, and I have faith Veach can replace him and/or the coaching staff can implement some things to help with his loss.

I might feel different if he hadn't acted like an asshat throughout this entire process. You want "your money?" Fine. Then shut the **** up on social and let the process play out.

Your actions have literally put everyone involved in a bad spot except for your agents.

I would feel differently if he was on the franchise tag and not wanting to play. But dude is on the final year of his big deal from before. You didn’t get a deal done. It sucks. But get your ass in here and play to hit FA next season.

And even if it’s true there are teams that will pay him 30 per year they can’t be so dumb to not understand what’s going on. Those teams can’t pay that right now and at the same time the Chiefs should be under no obligation to match what others might pay because he is still under contract for a lot this year. Also, because they are offering a big deal for two seasons beyond this one which carries risk for the team but is also guaranteed money now that absolutely is worth a slight discount from 30 per year other teams “might” pay.
