For as cheap as the shares are, and the explosive potential it might have, you'd just be passing up easy money to not have at least a little shares in this.

I don’t check this thread often enough, so what are our thoughts on NIO? Hold for the long haul? I’ve noticed I’m losing money on it

I'm not sure the term but there's plenty of volatility here so I do what I call "spike sell."

I will set a sell for $15 for at least half my shares. This order will be made GTD (good 'til cancelled). As we've seen with these stocks they could hit higher numbers but many times only for a few minutes, luckily these aren't shit penny stocks so orders should fill quickly. I'm hoping to catch a "spike up" where it may only hit something like $15 shortly and sell.

There is NO LONG TERM potential here.

I do similar stuff on penny stocks like today on that piece of shit BORR. I've watched how it's been trading and got in at 1.19 a bit after open. Immediately set a sell order for 1.25 which hit a few hours later. 5% profit and out.

It came true for all the high flyers.

TSLA -47% from it's high
LMND -54% from it's high
SQ - 42% from it's high

I can make a list of 200 NASDAQ stocks that all lost 30% or more during correction

Still not sure if this is just sucking money back into the market for more down days. I want to see a strong close on Friday.

If it rallies into the close that would be a good sign

Mr_Tomahawk 03-11-2021 10:41 AM

so buy dips at the end of today in HOPES that tomorrow opens and closes on a good note?

A correction is much different than falling into a bear market. It's still bullish overall and will be for the foreseeable future in my opinion.

But what do I know, I'm just a dumb ape making a killing on meme stocks...

Yeah. You don't want to see the market lose all it's gains today and then have a red day tomorrow.

Then all that is was more trading than investing.

A good close today and strong into the close tomorrow would be investment money coming in.

I guess they are counting the AMC shares to see how many phantom shares the hedge funds have created to keep the stock down and they have to all be accounted for tomorrow by 4ET.

Could get interesting.

From stocktwits:

$AMC
yes. all phantom shares have to be bought back before closing bell tomorrow 4pm EST. If Anyone is caught phantom shares its automatic jail time.

$AMC
Well as expected, we saw massive shorting on AMC yesterday.

Volume today with a net positive gain on the stock means that shorts have officially lost money. They are still losing money on short interest fees, despite the recent drop in fee to borrow.

More buying pressure on this ticker and they'll close shop. They are making money by shorting the ticker, but by everyone holding, new investors coming in, and those who keep investing means that eventually this will pop.

I believe March 19th will be a significant day, or when people dump stimmy's into the ticker it will be game over.

Not advising anyone do anything, but a significant rise in price would shut this game in a heartbeat. Tomorrow options close either in or out of the money. If a gamma squeeze occurs from options being executed, it may be the final blow.

eDave 03-11-2021 05:19 PM

I have $42.67 worth of AMC so I will be watching closely.

This stock is impossible to give a price target. I think if you throw out all the short squeeze talk it should at least double which isn't exciting based solely on the economy opening and theatres opening. We want the squeeze and thats why people need to just buy and Hold. This could possibly take off like GME, so they say. If you watch (Treys Trades) on youtube he gives you all the reasons it should be happening.

Premarket?

It retraced back to prior breakout from mid January and now has made a defined pivot back up. These entries can be good if market continues positive.

I’ll try getting in at up $40’s, stop loss likely 45.9., if swing trading. It’s a good company though and I may not stop loss and just start a long term position.

It has good fundamentals. Long on fundamentals, swing on technicals. :D

MTG#10 03-12-2021 05:51 AM

I know its premarket still but futures down, every stock I own is red, GME up almost $7.

Yesterday every stock I owned was green and GME had its first red day in over a week.

There really is something to this stock inversing the market, very strange.

I bought 200 CCIV at 39 and then of course the next day it went to $28 so I averaged down with another 100 shares. So a week later I decided I needed cash to pivot to another play and sold 50 shares out of the $39 lot.

A couple days later I noticed my avg cost on CCIV was now $60. After 2 hours on the phone with ETRADE I was informed I was an idiot and created a wash sale.

He says he holds his position on AMC and encourages us to buy more and hold.

He says now there are more lenders out there to buy AMC to short for hedge funds to borrow.

This helps inflate the stock more and increase the volume for a squeeze.

He says the trajectory of the chart points upwards.
