Yet in Andy's presser every week, there's some variation of "we're going to fix it", or "I've got to do better".

Rinse, repeat.

Andy drives me bonkers with his "I've got to do better". He always takes broad responsibility without ever taking specific responsibility. Whenver a reporter, and this is rare in KC, actually tries to pin him down he will start to be a little defensive or give some excuse about what happened. Hell, sometimes he gives an answer and it wasn't even the right play which makes you wonder what he is really noticing with the game-flow.

I'm not asking coaches to be incredibly forthcoming. I am even fine if he went the BB route of coach responses. But when he comes in acting like a knight who always takes responsibility yet never really does, it bothers me. Then when he continues to make the same mistakes it bothers me even more.

The guy does a lot of stuff well. If he would just self-evaluate better and delegate he could really take that next level. Yes he has wins and consistency says a lot. But if he wants that final level of results, I think he really needs to delegate some of the game day stuff and he clearly never will.

I have to agree with this post....

Where is the QB Guru and Offensive Genius that we have heard so much about?

We are in year 4 and can barely function as an offense...

At some point, one must ponder; is perhaps Reid's "offensive philosophy" pure shit?

What if Alex Smith IS the "right man" for the job, and the "job" itself isn't worth two ****s?

A LOT can happen in a decade.

What would happen if you stacked 75% of the entire offense with pro bowl talent and drafted a sure-fire franchise QB who bought in to Andy's offensive philosophy? Would the end result be any different?

Or, you keep the above scenario and somehow manage to acquire a PROVEN franchise QB like Rodgers? Would the end-result be any different?

Now I would argue that the best QB for Andy is the one who takes the offense right out of his chubby little hands, one who like Peyton had the experience and skill to run his own offensive scheme and the talent to back it up and to produce. Not an outright rebel against the coach but one who has the ability to say, at the LOS, "nope, we're not running that screen" and change the plays as needed.
Reid needs a QB who is better than HE is, not a marching worker-ant mindlessly taking orders. Because it seems to me, that being on the "same page" with Andy during the heat of battle may not necessarily be the best place for the offense overall to be.

Guys, I think you're close to convincing tiger and sandy about Alex Smith! They'll surely stop their trolling soon!

TigeRRUppeRRcut 12-21-2016 07:57 PM

If Ware punches in his TD and Hill catches that TD pass Smith perfectly placed, would you imbreds be complaining??

Why call me a troll? You really think I make posts here just to screw with people, and get attention?

I was just as annoyed by Sandy when he first came as anyone with his holier-than-thou stuff. Especially looking down at people thinking that sticking with one team was silly.

However, Sandy is miles and miles better than tiger. He doesn't troll. He has in fact been critical of Smith several times. I like to give credit where it is due and be objective as much as I can. I see things people disagree with but I strongly disagree that he is a troll. I personally think he is here even post Smith. He certainly has implied as much with his comments about moving on from him ect.

Perfectly placed TD pass? No, it was about a foot too long to be perfectly placed. It barely touched a tip of a finger of a lunching WR sprinting above 20 MPH. It was almost a great pass though and he put it at a spot where only Hill could catch it. I'm not going to be upset about missing on a deep pass that close, but it wasn't perfectly placed.

I still think DAT was in but DAT should have made sure there wasn't any question. He could have been a yard inside the pylon and not have been touched. But Ware has been garbage the second part of the season. Probably a combination of him and the line. This line is above average pass blocking but below average to bad in run blocking.

I was told all of this would be fixed once the Chiefs had an above-average O-line for Mr. Smith, Esquire?

If Alex didn't throw the game changing INT...

Alex Smith is 2-4 when the Chiefs don't score a defensive/special teams TD this year. Wins: SD, OAK Losses: HOU, PIT, TB, TEN

You sure that's not fiction? What was his QB efficiency and punter setup % in those games? Are you factoring in hidden TDs and gigabytes as well?

Cause if not. You're an uneducated inbreeding person.

How are you guys forgetting that...he had a TD pass slip right through his fingers. Shoulda been caught.
