This is just part of the business. |
Put the negotiations aside, that's great he's hanging out with the people at that event.
They've been through hell, and he's brightening their day. Pretty cool. |

I'll give Jones some credit for showing up and doing his things and having a good attitude about it. It would be easy for him to pout and let it affect him.
Provides some hope that he'll show up and be normal whenver he does show up. |
Guys you seriously have to stop thinking of contracts as something the player has to HONOR. It's not an oath to play football. The owners don't fully guarantee the FEE so why do you expect the player to guarantee the SERVICE?
There are loads of reasons to want Chris Jones traded - some of us have been saying it since last season. There are myriad ways he is dumb and continues to make dumb, limited thinking decisions based on myopic... I'll call it pride not greed. But CJ holding out is nothing to be upset about. It's his right to not work and not get paid. He's being penalized for his actions. It's dumb not unethical. |

Don't bring your dipshit agents, don't talk to the press. Hand out hamburgers, say hi to kids, and get back to your two a day workouts |

If Chris Jones doesn't like the system, then he should take it up with his union. Otherwise, under the current rules... agreed to by his union... he is in breach of his current employment contract. |

No one is saying he doesn't have a right to hold out. We as fans also have a right to say it's a bad look for him to be favoriting tweets about him being traded, telling reporters he wants to be a Chief for life while also reminding everyone he's under contract, bringing his agents along to make a charity function look like a PR event, fighting for a couple extra million dollars when Mahomes and Kelce have taken less to keep him on the roster, etc. Hold out as long as you want, Chris. Meanwhile, I'll call you out for acting like an asshat about it. |

I think the fact that his agents are physically in town is a huge positive. In-person negotiating is more effective than doing it over a phone. Go to the Chiefs offices, lock them and Veach in a room, and get it done.
