Not saying hes an elite athlete for his size but hes a good one. Why do you think he was a Top 5 HS recruit at one point and ended up still a Top 30? Its just embarrassing because many have defended and blocked shots much much better than him without even close the physical attributes. Thats the point. Theres no excuse him having 1 block on the year, none.

On point here.
He's not the old man at the Y. He's really strong and fast. He doesn't have elite elevation, but not many do. His offensive game is very dependent on him being able to move, not just use his body to shield defenders and use positioning to play, like old dudes at the Y. In fact, the stuff that makes old dudes at the Y, Perry is terrible at. He merely LOOKS like the old dude at the Y.
He should have gotten some blocks against some of the smaller guys he went against. Hell he probably should have picked up 3 blocks against his nemesis Evan Wessell. But he's really poor defensively. There was a stretch in the conference where he stepped up and played tough for several games before he got hurt that frankly won us the league title. But while he played with an acceptable amount of toughness, he still lacks any anticipation or aggressiveness to go get some shots.
