****ing people think everything should just be given to them, it's unbelievable.

Prison Bitch thinks KU shouldn't make as much money on their TV package as they can, because he doesn't/can't have TWC. That's ****ing ridiculous, yet here we are, once again, letting that shit up the thread.

KU isn't making $ off the TWC deal.

Not directly from Time Warner, but they did sign one of the largest deals with ESPN to broadcast the time Warner events nationally. KU is making a lot of money from third tier rights. You are an idiot.

KU made little to no additional Tier 3 $ from their prior deal. Zenger even said as much. You don't know shit.

TambaBerry 12-20-2015 09:33 PM

you guys supporting this deal don't know shit. The only reason Zenger did this deal is to get the sports nobody watches on to that channel. That is the entire deal right there. Thats why it is such a stupid deal and a waste of pissing everyone off.

This might be the worst analogy I've ever seen here, and this place isn't exactly Mensa.

BWillie wrong again. Perry is probably closer to 6'6", and far from athletic. He is the old man at the Y. Gotta give him credit for developing such great offensive skills, but asking him to be Embiid is just asking to be eternally disappointed.

Huh? He measured 6'8" at the 2014 Nike Skills Academy and was 6'8" at the 2010 Lebron James camp. He has an average to just above avg wingspan for a guy his size at 6'10". Not saying hes an elite athlete for his size but hes a good one. Why do you think he was a Top 5 HS recruit at one point and ended up still a Top 30? Its just embarrassing because many have defended and blocked shots much much better than him without even close the physical attributes. Thats the point. Theres no excuse him having 1 block on the year, none.

Yeah but we recruited some great center strikers for our women's volleyball team from Lousiana. Success!

On point here.

He's not the old man at the Y. He's really strong and fast. He doesn't have elite elevation, but not many do. His offensive game is very dependent on him being able to move, not just use his body to shield defenders and use positioning to play, like old dudes at the Y. In fact, the stuff that makes old dudes at the Y, Perry is terrible at. He merely LOOKS like the old dude at the Y.

He should have gotten some blocks against some of the smaller guys he went against. Hell he probably should have picked up 3 blocks against his nemesis Evan Wessell. But he's really poor defensively. There was a stretch in the conference where he stepped up and played tough for several games before he got hurt that frankly won us the league title. But while he played with an acceptable amount of toughness, he still lacks any anticipation or aggressiveness to go get some shots.

He disappeared against Wichita after he got elbowed in the face.

The Y reference is relative to your own experiences. I can see the context he used it as, as I used to play with an old dude growing up that all he did was score against crappy competition. Put against anyone with ability, was probably the most worthless person in the gym. No need to split hairs.

Actually, yes, people do give a shit. It sucks when fans in the state where the team is located can't even watch. I don't want cable. Why would I want to pay more for an inferior product?

In this case I do agree with saphojunkie. If people simply refuse to pay for cable, they have to accept that they are going to miss out on seeing things that are on cable. "It's bullshit that I can't see Game of Thrones, I just don't want to pay for HBO. Why can't thy put it on ABC instead?"

What do you have against the old man at the Y? :hmmm::grr:
