People should stop saying "give up" unless you're talking to someone who stopped watching... because there's no other way a fan can "give up."

Anyway, I'd say the Wild Card game was different... that was almost a classic KC way of losing a game, but I didn't see what I saw out of the players today.

Watch Cain, Gordon, etc; at the plate and really tell me you shrugged at 6-2 and though, yeah, they're fine... there's still time. Down 1? Sure, a pop up in that stadium can tie it.

But to string together an inning like that? Yeah, I was skeptical.

Yeah, you can't say a fan has given up unless they stop watching the game. You can honestly assess how terrible the team has played so far and how unlikely a win is, but by staying with the game, you are basically saying "damn, this sucks, but there's still a chance, I guess".

It was meant to be. Only a couple of resident dipshits took it someplace else and I followed.
