Alex Smith would be 0-24 if he was in Detroit.

I love how people can mention Matt Stafford, and not mention that other guy. No worries, he just broke Jerry Rices yardage record. No big deal or anything.

With Alex Smith, it's possible Megatron could have broken one of John Taylor's records (if he has any).

Not the point. The point is you are giving all this credit to Matt Stafford, when its catches like Megatrons catch over 3 cowboys during the 2011 season, that really is the difference maker. Yes, huge arm is a plus, but its in a dome most of the time, and Megatron can literally catch anything.

So it loses some merit. If I recall, even Shaun NOODLE ARM hill completed a hail mary last year at Tennessee to Megatron to send the game to over time. Alex Smiths arm is stronger than HIlls.

it was titus young who caught it. But, point still stands. It was targeted for Calvin, 3 defenders ran right to him, batted it to titus, who caught it and scored.

you think he'd survive 24 games behind the Detroit OL. I'd give him 9 then a bodybag as a parting gift.

The Lions don't have a bad offensive line.

In what way? They allowed 29 sacks in 700+ pass attempts last year. 36 sacks in 660+ attempts in 2011. And Matt Stafford is average AT BEST at pocket presence. A lot of those sacks are on him.

Whew, being up here in Wisconsin, im shocked by that. There was constant pressure on Stafford. And, if we are talking oline, it has more to do with pass blocking, it was also an awful run blocking oline as well.

But no biggie. Don't wanna argue. I didn't realize they gave up that few sacks though. maybe it was better than I thought.

As are his interceptions. 20/17 in 2012. That's pitiful.
