'Oh keep him at least another year' dopes like you plead... well the guy did NOT want to be here, and likely would've been a huge pain in the ass pouting and sulking about it, at a time when we need ALL HANDS ON DECK to bolster this team led by a second year QB 'I dont care if he would've been a half assing piece of shit, he was GOOD DAMN YOU!' Yes he was, he was damn good when he wanted to be, but if he planned to be a big fat distraction on this new era team looking to get off the ground... he can go **** himself in LA He'll be busted with hookers in Vegas on some kinda violence charge in no time, and then we'll see just how much you care |

Earlier this week some NFL insider guy was on the local 810 sports radio here and they were talking about the Chiefs and Peters. To sum up what he said was Peters doesnt want to be here any more and in his opinion the Chiefs may have look for a trade partner to get the most they will be able to get out of him as he definitely wont resign here, but the Chiefs are definitely aware hes not happy here. I think he was right. I dont think the minor distractions he had last year had anything to do with the Chiefs moving on from Peters. They didnt want to but he forced their hand. I think as time passes it will be clear thats what it was. |

Its not about 'thug life', its about where do you want to be? |
For all of the Chiefs apologists who are trying to make this into a Marcus Peters problem... i.e. because he was a supposed "locker room cancer" (even though his team mates liked him and are upset that he is being traded) and a "malcontent" and as a result the Chiefs had no choice but to trade him... the reality according to Terez Paylor's reporting is that the Chiefs didn't want to pay Peters the likely $18 million+ per season that he would have demanded.
So it is a contract/money issue, according to Terez. Which means Clark's Chiefs are the Miami Marlins of the NFL now apparently. Trade talented young cornerstone players rather than pay them. |
