Houston back with 4 - 6 games would give him just about the right amount of time to get readjusted rolling into the playoffs.

Honestly, there’s not a game on the schedule that I'd say there's no way the Chiefs can't it.

They're not running the table, though.
@ Carolina I'd say the Panthers have an 85% chance to win.
@ Pittsburgh, I'd say the Steelers have a 65% chance of winning.
@ Indy & @ Denver, Colts & Donkeys with a 55% chance.
@ Oakland, I have as a tossup 50/50.

More than likely there's at least one they will lose that they had no business losing to. Hopefully no more than 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if they managed 14-2 to 12-4. 11-5 would be their floor absent unforeseen circumstances / injuries.

I'm sticking with my November 6th week 9 return at home vs the Jags prediction.

O.city 08-08-2016 08:04 AM

I dunno I thi k you guys may be a little optimistic about the team with no houston.

If Hali gets dinged a little and or isn't effective, with no houston, this young secindary is gonna have to grow up fast.

Dunerdr 08-08-2016 08:04 AM

Is this the part where we panic blame all woes on smith and fly foles banners?

You can't say he isn't either.

What I'm trying to say is, how do we know he's NOT Mel Torme?

Andy has his new Desean, which is great for the offense

Red Dawg 08-08-2016 08:13 AM

Unless Ford tears it up we are going to hurt in the pass rush department badly. Houston won't be around half the season and if we can't pressure Rivers, Cam, Ben and Matt then they will kill us.

RunKC 08-08-2016 08:15 AM

SD-could be big trouble if we can't get pressure on Rivers
HOU-not too worried with new QB and new young weapons
NYJ-not worried about this team
PIT-we're ****ed if we can't get pressure on Big Ben
OAK-not worried. 10 sacks on Carr in 2 games without Houston last year.
NO-could be big trouble if we can't get pressure on Brees.
IND-we're ****ed if we don't get pressure on Luck

staylor26 08-08-2016 08:16 AM

Hali/Ford, with our DL, is still a much better pass rush than most teams have.

staylor26 08-08-2016 08:18 AM

Not worried about @Oak, but we could be in big trouble week 1 at home against Rivers?

Carr is a giant pussy when he's pressured. Rivers is a top 10 QB who has killed us with quick passes.

Also, with Keenan Allen last year: 18 TD's in 8 games.
Without Keenan Allen: 11 TD's (4 in one game).

Take your pick. Our D stopping SD more or SD D stopping our offense more.

NO at Arrowhead? Brees can pop off still here and there, but the Saints of almost a decade ago or even 5 years ago aren't marching in.

Yeah, Pittsburgh is gonna be tough. Ben shakes pressure and stands in even if it's coming either way.

Luck is dangerous. Too bad the talent on their roster has been eroding. They're not a dominant team, but with Luck, he gives them a puncher's chance. Indy has been a thorn in KC's side far too long. I get the apprehension and what if worst-case scenarios, but that team is a tough road W, but a loss is hardly a foregone conclusion.

The schedule lays out pretty nicely overall. No really brutal stretches, a bunch of division games backloaded when Houston hopefully returns, and still some quality road tests to gauge this team's potential and make adjustments. Injuries are the name of the game. Keeping our guys healthy and returning a few key guys coming back from injury and getting them on the field performing.

kcpasco 08-08-2016 08:45 AM

Those week 1 games are kind of a toss up. I wouldn't be shocked at all if it's a very close game.
