Here's a plausible one against that: the NFL knows the Chargers need to succeed and the franchise has sucked at it. Therefore, they're going to do everything to make their first season in LA a success. That makes it more likely LA will want to give them a stadium.

It doesn't matter if the Chargers look uninspired against the Bengals. We looked uninspired against the Cardinals.

He predicted TWO days ago that the Chiefs would go down and the Pats would march on and when neither happened he completely ignores that he thought the refs would screw us.
Nobody can explain why the refs didn't help the Chargers win LAST year when it was their first year in LA. Best anybody had was "it's Philip Rivers fault". Yet this year it's all in to help the Chargers. If we beat LA the calls that helped us will be ignored, the ones that helped them highlighted, and they will switch to another story line while completely forgetting being wrong about this one.
it's almost beautiful in how they execute it.
