I think that the dress is ugly anyway and I wore a corset top to my snior prom.

As for the homosexual thing..I'm from TX, and as far as people are concerned here, they don't exist. Except in metropolitan areas...and Austin.

Don't get bent out of shape about my remark either, gay, straight, I don't really care.

And I've seen some of the outfits that schools permit kids to wear, and they aren't covered a whole lot better than the girl in the pic. Granted, these things may not occur in every school, but they are occuring in many of the schools.

I suppose you may be correct. I live in Kansas. We are "the buckle" of the "bible belt."

Wow. Heck, why even wear a dress? Why doesn't everyone just go naked?

Chiefs Pantalones 01-27-2005 03:51 PM

LOL

Bold prediction for next year:

Proms and all dances alike will be done in the nude...because teen magazine says so.

I think you're simply paranoid.

On what do you base the assumption he is being paranoid? I can tell you in my daughter's school they pound tolerance into the kids....race, creed, religious, sexual orientation.....

Wouldn't we be a better society if we practiced a little more tolerance?

It's been taken WAY to far. I my godson's school they told the kids they may be gay. I don't send him to school to hear that shit, I send him to get an education. **** all teachers personal agendas come to think of it. Your there to educate and your living on our buck so quit with the other hoseshit already.

I am all for tolerance...but it goes both ways don't you think? I have a problem trying to force feed a bunch of naive 8 and 9 y/o kids that they have to have tolerance for sexual orientation.....

What is really funny.....most kids don't need to be taught tolerance...they just want to have fun playing with their friends. It's when adults with agendas get in the way where suddenly children are forced to deal with adult issues.

So we're too intolerant about tolerance?

I don't think that it should be shoved the the throats of young children, but for high school, yes, I think that teenagers should be taught tolerance. Parents are to judgmental to teach their children. My son is almost four and the only reason he does not like a person is because they are stupid. I am trying to teach him that he does not need to like the person, but he does have to be civil. I also think that there is no problem with condoms being given out at high schools, you know the kids are going to bang anyway. I have only known of a few people that were virgins when they got married. Absence is not something most teenagers practice.

In addition, sexual orientation is not a reason to be uncivil to a person, you should be tolerant, whether you believe they are going to hell or not.

To answer your question, Hell No, I wouldn't let my daughter wear that. I don't think my daughter would wish to wear that, if I had one. She would be well aware that men only want one thing most of the time and it isn't her brains!!

I would be having a chat with a teacher at that point. I do agree that is not right.
