I saw it. Agree that it's awesome. I used to watch the Iron Man cartoon (the 1994 one) when it was on. It was short lived and not as good as the Batman animated series, but I just thought Iron Man was cool.

Thats fine.. But it will be the future..

And if done correctly you will not notice it is CGI.. The thing I do not like about CGI is when they try and mesh it too much with live actors.. Either all CGI or very little is my taste..

You can just do soo much more with a CGI movie with character effects and their powers..

The thing I always liked about IronMan was that the entire concept is, in a way, feasible, Mr. JBucc. I mean, if you had billions of dollars, the will, and the advanced technology at your disposal, you really could build a suit that could do some crazy stuff. It's far more believable than being zapped with gamma rays and turning into a rock man or nipped by a radioactive spider or something.

I caught the second Fantastic Four on HBO late last night. Jesus, what a crappy movie.

I don't really disagree with the general idea you're presenting, Mr. Valiant. My problem with an all-CGI approach is that it makes it just that much more difficult to suspend reality and allow the film to take over. That's really my argument for live actors and action. When you really boil it down, the application of the CGI is key ... when and how it's used to move the story forward.

Let me ask you this ... how did you like the LOTR trilogy?

They ruined that entire opportunity, Mr. keg in kc. Both films were an embarrassment. A slap in the face of Marvel and Marvel lovers everywhere. I hated that goofy-ass guy playing Reed Richards, for starters.

Maybe somebody will come along and correct the situation ... a la "Batman Begins".

Concur FAX. When you compare the two FF movies to the X-Men flicks, it really stands out just how bad the FF movies are. As much as I like to look at Jessica Alba, does she ever make you suspend your disbelief in her being Sue Storm? The dork who played Reed Richards couldn't find his own a$$ with two hands, let alone pass himself off as a genius. The party boy nonsense for Johnny Storm was way too over played. It's a great franchise and Marvel let it get away in every respect.

BTW, what the hell did they do to Galactus? He's a big angry space cloud? Really? What a joke.

I'm anxious to see Ironman...all good reviews and Favreau wouldn't do it half way.

The Avengers didn't start out as a government sanctioned group. That happened well into their storyline.

Iron Man was one of the five founding members of the Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Ant Man, The Wasp and the Hulk), and their headquarters was in Stark Mansion in downtown Manhatten (just off Central Park). The Hulk split in Avengers #2 and Captain America joined in Avengers #4. By Avengers #13, the originals split leaving Cap with Hawkeye, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch as his team.

I think the Avengers have a current and past roster of well over 100 members. At one time, I recall Iron Man was teamed up with The Black Widow, Hawkeye, the Black Knight and the Swordsman (all former enemies). I have a feeling he slept with one eye open, just in case.

What do you mean? Slap a blond wig on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson or on Vin Diesel and there you go.

And back on the side topic of the marvel zombie wars. No one would happen to have a digital version of them that they would be willing to share would they?

I can bribe you with rate ups, or sell you that NY58 character as a whipping boy.

I loved the trilogy.. Of course I loved the cartoon also.. I also love anime shows and if done correctly you do not even notice that they are not real people.. It is all about story..

I did not like Fantastic Four or Ghost Rider because of the way CGI and humans were meshed..
