Out of 257 respondents I suspect we could have found 33 that would have wanted Haley fired before the season started.

You made up your mind during the offseason that picking Sanchez and a couple of linemen was the only right thing to do for the franchise.

And in your mind everything we have witnessed to date is a complete validation of your preference.

Look they traded for Cassel but like it or not ignoring this offensive line is epic fail.

You'd think at some point, you'd give the hell up and go do something else.

Incorrect. As Mecca's spiritual advisor, I have no hair-brushing duties, thank you.

I suspect some are looking only at the poll and not at the posts which offer quantifiers on the "yes" vote.

It's funny - nobody's even trying to defend Pioli and Haley. Nobody's arguing they've done well.

All we've heard is:

1) Give him more time.
2) He's better than Herm.
3) Pioli can't hear your complaining with his SB rings in his ears.
4) Well why aren't you a GM?

C'mon folks, somebody try to make a cogent defense of what Pioli and Haley have actually done here. Critically examine the moves they've made while in charge of this team. Anyone can shut their brains off and become a set of automotons - "In Scott We Trust" doesn't take much effort. How about examining these moves without considering who made them?

From !@#$ing around in firing Herm, to drafting a 5 technique at #3 and paying him like a franchise QB, all the way to Haley's abortion of a game yesterday, how can anyone actually defend how these two have handled our team to this point?

I said after the draft that it was pretty obvious what the FO was trying to do. Stop the run. They had to start somewhere, and since we already had the young defensive backfield, that was the choice.

Unlike you, I realize it's early in the season, but there has been improvement in stopping the run. We've moved up 12 spots since last years 30th ranking, and are ahead of teams like the Giants, the Packers, the Cowboys, and the Chargers. We've also only given up one run of more than 20 yards, while giving up TWENTY SEVEN such runs last year.

It's easy to look at 0-3, and throw a childlike fit because we're not winning the Super Bowl yet, but you, and MANY others apparently have forgotten where this team is coming from. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are football teams that were decimated by Herm ****ing Edwards.

I suggest you and the other nancies take up heavy drinking for the forseeable future, as we won't be winning a lot of games this year. Sane people understand this, and are willing to give a little slack.
