And his defense handed him 14 pts ...just saying

The Packers O-Line has been pointed to often to illustrate Cassel's shortcomings.

People just don't want to see what is right in front of their face.

While giving up, what was it? 35 points?

How many picks did the Cheifs have against the Raiders?

How many points did Cassel lead the offense to with all those picks?

The first 7 games, yea. Today the OL was ****ing sieve of Biblical proportions. Yea Cassel could/should have made a few more plays but the OL was beyond bad.

I'm not reading this whole thread. But I gotta guess that some of you are football reeruned. The Dolphins brought blitzes all first half. When we had 5 blockers, they would bring at least 6. When we had 6 blockers, they would bring at least 7. Now I'm not saying the offensive line played well. What I am saying is that Cassel made them look worse than they actually played.

It is not possible for them to block everyone when the other team brings more blitzers than blockers. The QB is responsible for recognizing that and making adjustments to attack. Those adjustments include hot routes and audibles. I don't think Cassel did any of that.

In the 2nd half, the Dolphins hardly blitzed at all. cassel was so flustered from all the blitzing in the first half that he was seeing the blitz all second half even if it wasn't there. And because of this, most of his passes in the 2nd half were pretty terrible.

Sure, the whole team was flat today. But it starts with the $14 million overpaid asshole that is supposed to lead this team. So **** you, Cassel apologists!

He believes in bend but don't break, and he had both starters at safety out today.

Give any QB in the league all day in the pocket against and he's going to pick you apart, especially with guys like Donald Washington and Sabby Picitelly in at safety.

Bend but don't break is a great way to wear down your own defense in today's NFL, and an even better way to expose your weak safeties.

I guarantee you, I would go out on the field and play with heart, but I still have no business on the field.

What's your point? That you could suck as much as these Chiefs. They did not play anything well today. We got pwned on our own field. Not sure if it's a monday night hang-over but a good coach should have his team ready to play. Haley in the presser was making excuses. I want our team to win just as much as you. Don't believe that Cassel is the problem.

On another note. End the dexter mcluster experiment. I have seen enough. I want to know whose pick that was. Haley or Pioli?

Dude has been a huge disappointment.

Dude has heart and he competes. He's not aaron rodgers or tom brady, but he wants to win. Every QB in this league has happy feet when you get in their face. Reference Tom Brady today. We won't ever win a super bowl with Matt Cassel, but he is serviceable.

Why doesn't anyone bring up the defense today? They got pushed around. Brandon flowers is so overrated it's not even funny. He is a prima donna.

We got outplayed by an 0-7 fb team.

We all know he has heart.

The reason we're ripping on him is that we can't keep trying to win games in spite of our QB. In 3 years, I can think of less than a few games where Cassel was consistent for 4 quarters, and even when I say "consistent', I'm not talking about 400-500 yards total consistent. I'm talking about efficiency in the dink and dunk.

The defense is going to have bad games. Hell, the Packers have more talent on defense than we have and they gave up 38 today. Cassel will never be that guy. So basically, any game where our defense isn't nails, we're pretty much screwed. The problem is that we have a QB that can't win games. He can only manage them. So while Cassel wasn't the biggest culprit today, we rip on him because every once in a while, he has GOT to be a guy who can pick his team up when they're struggling. He's the goddamn leader, for crying out loud.

Our line wasn't very good today but Cassel makes it worse. Its crazy to see the routes that are wide open that he can't see the throw.

Well, he did audible a couple of times.

One was a pass play when we were threatening to score. He saw blitz again and checked to an off-guard run by McDervish. I think we lost 2 yards on that play. I don't blame Cassel, though. When McDervish has the ball anything can happen ... including a super spin move that drills a hole in the ground so deep that, when they un-pile, only his helmet is visible. So ... like a 2 foot hole.

The main problem I had with Cassel today were the wild-ass passes all over the place. He was high with his flings again ... same as last week ... and the week prior. There was also the minor problem of not taking advantage of the blitz and, instead, trying to Tebow the ball downfield with his magic feet of destiny while open receivers were looking back at him with confused expressions.

All in all, this game was one for the books and basically erases all the good feelings I had after last Monday night. I am now depressed beyond belief and considering shooting the neighbor's cat right square in the nuts.

One hopes Scott Pioli notices the completions Cassel leaves on table.
