I wouldn't hire anyone who chooses to run Marshall Faulk 9 times in a Super Bowl.

Brian Billick?

He does have a ring, and a good record.

Which if you go by history he won't be able to do it again.

The Chiefs tried the "young and upcoming assistant" with Todd Haley... FAIL.

The Chiefs need someone with head coaching experience who can stand up to Fat Scott's brain dead personnel decisions.

But the problem is we have tried the "established" coach method too and that failed. If we are to repeat one of the two methods that we failed in I's stay with the YaCA approach hoping to find the next Payton.

There is needs to be a balance of power and a checks and balance system that wasn't there the past 3 years.

Someone who can stand up during the offseason and say... "We have cap room, Barry Richardson is shit... SIGN a right tackle".

It increasingly appears that this will not happen in a Pioli dictatorship. :(

I'll take a shot.

HC- Joe Philbin, current OC of the Packers, said to be in line to get the job at Tulane

DC- Mike Nolan currently with the Dolphins, has them playing well right now

Marty is past his time, and I dont want him now, but he could build a team. Norv coasted on the tails of the Team Marty created. Not even in the same league.

Is Cam Cameron on anybody's list? I admired his work as OC in San Diego and (from my remote view) he seems to be doing a decent job as OC in Baltimore. His one year with the Dolphins was a disaster but the Dolphins have sucked pretty consistently since Marino retired and one year isn't a whole lot of time.

I have no good ideas for a head coach.

Give me a dart board without Fisher and Crennel on it, and hope for the best.

Chief Roundup 12-12-2011 08:20 PM

Just playing around here but some combination of the following makes the most sense.

HC: Zimmer, Mangini, Crennel
OC: McDaniels, don't know many other OC from the tree, McDaniels has made Cassel successful. If Pioli's future is tied to Cassel this would be the move for Pioli to make to attempt to save his career.
DC: Crennel, Mangini don't think Zimmer would make lateral move

Shogun 12-12-2011 08:22 PM

Either Marty

or Dick Vermiel with Norv as OC and Romeo as DC

When I told my wife we fired Haley her response was "Maybe we can get Marty back". I wanted to reach through the phone and slap her. :cuss:

Most fans look back at the pinnacle of their franchise with nostalgic admiration...

It's just a shame that our high point has been 1 and done in the playoffs.
