I make up lots of random crap and post it even though it means nothing. #Chiefs

Josh, you too? I thought I was the only one that did that.

Petro just said basically the same thing. Romeo is auditioning for the HC job and won't put Stanzi out there to jeopardize that.

Of course, I'm not convinced that Petro is Sensible...he started to get giddy talking about Romeo and McDaniels with either Cassel or Orton at QB next year.

Kyle Orton will start if healthy. If not, it's Ricky Stanzi #Chiefs

You can't talk to anyone on another staff until season's end, and any respectable former coach is not going to talk to you unless their position is completely vacant, meaning that there isn't even an interim coach in place.

If you want your choice of candidates, you fire your head coach the second the final whistle blows in the final game.

So what gives with Jacksonville and Miami doing the same thing?

Quick! Someone go smash orton's hand with a hammer. Pull a Tonya Harding on him.

Chiefnj2 12-14-2011 10:53 AM

You can't blame Romeo for starting Orton this week. Orton already played GB once this year, so he has some familiarity with them. He put up 270+ yards and 3 TDs (3INTs also), which would be KC's greatest offensive achievement this year next to the Colts game.

htismaqe 12-14-2011 10:53 AM

Romeo just told the media at Arrowhead that Orton will start if he can.

THANK YOU ROMEO!!!!

Oh, and double **** you, Haley.

Confirmed by Crennel that Orton to start, Stanzi to backup. Failco to 3rd.

Let's hope Orton isn't healthy. At least the palko disaster is over

I don't blame him at all. Orton is his best chance to win the HC gig.

It was Haley who should have played Stanzi.

I think Crennel has a chance at the HC gig, but what will season ticket renewals be if it's Crennel + Cassel? That's a tough sell.

Renewals will be high because, from listening to KC sports talk radio for the last few days, Kansas Citians like the Kool Aid and they don't seem to think that Mark Castle is the worstest korterbak evar.

And if you really listen, you can surmise that they like the idea of Orton even better.

A good portion of the fan base seems to be convinced that it's all on Haley. Cassel was "good enough" last year with Weis and Haley ran off Weis.

Congratulations Scott, your little ruse worked to perfection.

I still think fans' dissatisfaction with Cassel is our best shot at not seeing a McDaniels + Cassel reunion. Hunt may not have any clue about what's going on football-wise, but he may be smart enough and clued in enough to know that Cassel is no longer a viable option to many of the fans.

I don`t blame him either but it seems a case of a coach who puts his interest before the team.

At this point, winning any game with Orton will do nothing good to this team as our playoff hopes have vanished and as far as I`m concerned, we want to have the highest pick possible for a chance to draft a top QB prospect.

Winning with Stanzi would at least give this team encouragement for next year and the future.
