You'll have to ask his girlfriend...

O.city 08-20-2012 04:31 PM

This is frustrating.

****!!!!

Shit happens. There is nothing to say he won't be ready come the start of the season. I think the boot is just a measure to help expedite his recover and keep pressure off the heel at all costs.

O.city 08-20-2012 05:37 PM

Has any reporter asked Romeo about this in a presser, within the last few days?

petegz28 08-20-2012 05:50 PM

the good news: I don't think they would let Flowers be standing around, in a boot or otherwise if there was a serious, serious injury like a break

One of the best ways to get a foot or ankle problem to heal is to rest it. But of course, it’s hard to rest your foot and still carry on your normal activities. Walking boots allow you to rest your foot while still walking around and doing your day to day activities. And walkers are not just for fractures. In our Seattle foot and ankle clinic we also prescribe them for heel pain, ball of foot pain, tendonitis and other problems.
He will be fine. The heel isn't healing as fast as they would like so they are taking steps to get him ready for week 1. If he was that bad he wouldn't be standing on it let alone allowed to stand on it at practice.

Wasn't he actually warming up with the team and doing some individual stuff a few days ago?

Yes. He has tried to go several times since he was hurt and that probably made it worse. I don't know if the trainers were listening to him or what but I think now they have said it doesn't matter what he says, they put him in a boot and aren't going to allow him to go at all.

So, you think it's his heel pete?

According to KFFL, he has a bruised heel.

I was there the night he got hurt and he was walking around. They only carted him up the hill but he walked off the field just fine. I do believe it is a bruised heel which can just be a bitch at times. I have had one and I think all of us have at one point or another.
