Every ****ing morning, I'm rushing to get the kid out the door and when I'm get into the car, the time seems wrong "It can't be 8:55!". So yesterday morning, I checked the time on all the house clocks when I returned and of course, the clocks were correct.

I just don't see the big deal about 7 minutes.

Remember....you're talking to the guy with 3 daughters. I know all about being late to work.

Last comment on Dumervil-Broncos (for now): There will be lawyers.....and new agents.

That agent might have trouble finding business in the future.

They tried to pull the quintessential "fast one" on Dumervil and it screwed them.

Karmas a bitch.

I think he could get $8M, yes.

One note though: if the player never got his signature back to the agent before the deadline, it's on him, not the agent.

My understanding is, on top of the rest of it, Denver gave Dumervil a 1 pm MT deadline to accept the paycut. He verbally accepted at 1:25.

At 1:59pm the Broncos had no paperwork. Had to protect themselves by releasing Dumervil. Received stamped paperwork at 2:06pm.

chefsos 03-15-2013 03:04 PM

I don't think Denver even tries to undo this.

If the priority is: $8M Dumervil>No Dumervil>>>>>$12M Dumervil, I think they'll just roll with No Dumervil.

I would've killed to be a fly on the wall in Elway's office as they hit 'send' on those release papers.

Oh that's beautiful. It might've been funnier had they not gotten the release papers in at all and been on the hook for his guaranteed deal, but this is still damn funny.

MagicHef 03-15-2013 03:07 PM

They could get close to the same cap hits and guaranteed salaries in a new deal by being creative with bonuses. We'll see what happens.
