Nance has brain damage. They ran a ****ing play! If it was complete and they ran a play to spike it. What the **** game are they watching? These are professionals? ****ing dumbasses.

mnchiefsguy 01-05-2014 01:33 PM

Wow, they completely blew that....Dalton ran a play.

Bengals lucky the refs did not **** them there.

How does the spike not count? They ran the play...the ball was set, the refs gave them the go ahead.

They had 4 on right of the ball and 7 on the left. Rule states that the defense can't have more than six on one side of the ball during a field goal.

edit: oops. Sarcasm detector is faulty. Sorry brah.

DaFace 01-05-2014 01:36 PM

Well, in the end, that was the right result (the FG completion), but that whole sequence was bizarre officiating.

1. If they deemed forward progress was stopped, that's not reviewable, right? I mean, seems like there was another game where that was ruled and made a huge difference...
2. If forward progress WASN'T stopped, then either 1) he was out of bounds or 2) it was an incomplete catch. Both scenarios should have resulted in the clock stopping.
3. It shouldn't have been reviewed in the first place, as the Bengals ran a play. Triplette himself was waving incomplete (due to the spike), which indicates that the buzz hadn't come down to review the previous play yet.

I mean...what?

You're a little off on the rule. It only applies to players on the LOS. The play was clean.

I just counted a very obvious 7.

Does the defender 5 yards behind the line count?

MahiMike 01-05-2014 01:38 PM

That was the definition of the calvin Johnson non-catch.

ping2000 01-05-2014 01:38 PM

Nance should be calling women's figure skating. What a ****ing dumbass. Phil Sims should know the ****ing rules as well.
