Flowers for a 2nd would be awesome for both parties. We can't afford that kind of money tied up into our secondary.

It all comes down to this:
Brandon Flowers isn't a very good fit in Bob Sutton's scheme and it showed in his poor play. His bad tape is confirmed by every player ranking/evaluating site that I've read out there. The general consensus outside of Chiefs Kingdom is that Flowers had a very poor year in coverage; he was our 3rd best corner behind Cooper and Smith. |
If we could get a 2nd or even a 3rd for Flowers I would be ecstatic.
|
I could live with Flowers for a 2nd. But Berry for just a 2nd? Ya right. I'm not trading Berry. Nice try. I'm locking Poe, Houston, and Berry up. Have a stud at all three levels.

Bleacher report sucks though
|
I'd trade him for a 2nd. Hell, for a 3rd I'd do it.
|
I'd give him up for a 2nd.
Draft the guy in the 2nd, get 6 years of solid to near-elite level play from him, flip him for a 2nd when it's all said and done. If we did that shit often we'd be loaded. |
Chiefs open to trading Flowers
I really think he was still our "best" corner though.
I mentioned that Sean Smith had a better season but he's our #2 corner and was often saddled with the less talented receiver. I can only really remember Flowers getting torched by Dez Bryant (who he was asked to cover 1 on 1 damn near the entire game), Eric Decker against Denver at home, and the first San Diego. Cooper made some big plays at times but he was obviously our worst cover corner. He just got abused often in the second half of the season. So often. |

The Berry rumor is surely bullshit, but this move wouldn't surprise me at all.
In fact, its maybe the best thing for both parties. |
