AND I MADE THIS POINT BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED.

I don't think it's even fair to judge the guy after Dorsey ****ed him in the offseason and Phat Andy has multiple-coordinator-personality-disease...

Gotcha... I thought you were saying that Smith needed an above average O line because of some Smith deficiency. Whereas I think Smith's strengths can cover for a below average o line.

Weird

Which guys from the game? what articles?

This place is not a joke.. it just has some people that can't discuss things without getting all childish and straying from the topic discussion.

You are always free to go back to wherever it is you go during most weeks.

Everyone knows what these Alex threads consist of... pages of people whining over a play here or there... to the point where others have to come in and point out how QBs are not perfect.. and there are plays that are underwhelming for all of them.

QBs are not perfect. But WRs are supposed to be. Ball within 5 feet of you? You'd better ****ing catch it! Right?

It's not one or the other.

Our WR's are $3it and our QB doesn't throw beyond 15 yards without 5 yards of separation.

On top of that Alex prefers to throw in the hashes. Always has. It's why he' loves the TE.

Think about it. You show me a pick 6 and about 9 out of 10 times it's outside the hash marks...

No. If you are being paid 14 mil a year to catch a handful of passes per game? and these passes go into your hands? CATCH THEM.

A quarterback handles the ball about 50 ? times a game... He is obviously going to have more screwups than a WR who needs to make his few opportunities count.

fair point... I'm in Cali so I only get to see the televised game. All I have to go on is quite often when the commentator says "Smith had absolutely no where to go with the ball".

But you won't here me state the WR's aren't getting open, as I can't see that for myself. Seems to me, Smith has been spreading the ball around pretty evenly. If they weren't getting open, I'd think all the balls would be getting thrown to TE's and RB's only. Not the case.

THis just goes back to WHEN these targets get open. QBs can't see every route unfold simultaneously across the field.

... but you know this.

no... but balls that hit you in the hands, you are supposed to catch - even if you had to make some adjustment to catch it. This is a pretty well known and widely accepted belief.

Does that mean they are going to catch all of them? Certainly not. But if you can get your hands on it, you are supposed to catch it.

yes I do. And I agree. It all depends on when the route gets open as compared to where the QB is in his progression. That is something that is absolutely impossible to know, one way or the other, when looking at film or at a still photo.

Stopped reading here, since you can't seem to settle on a stat.

The link you posted claims 7.7%.

Now you're upping that by another 2%.

In another 50 posts, KC WR's will be dropping 25% of the passes thrown to them.

Notice the names tied with, or ahead of Bowe:

Dez
A. Brown
Cobb
S. Smith
Watkins
Hilton
Demaryius
Benjamin
Cruz

But Bowe's the shittiest starting WR in the league...

POOR ALEX HAS NO ONE TO THROW TO!
