We all saw it in the second half of the Texans game, the second half of the Broncos game and the entirety of the Green Bay & Cincy games.

The players just don't look like they care. They have the look of a beaten team before they hit the field.

It's 2012 all over again.

Reid: That's on me. I take responsibility. Some things we need to do better.

I said as soon as that game was over that that game was irrelevant so far as the entire season was concerned. It was one very early season game. The story of this season was going to be how they responded to it.

Well, . . . they responded.

This is just a shitty football team with a coaching staff that doesn't know how to right the ship.

This is a talented team, with a coaching staff that can't instill in them the will to refuse to accept defeat.

And put them in the best position to win with the talent on hand.

It's ****ing hilarious all the people throwing terms like flawless and elite about the rest of the team around the QB in KC. Outside a criminally misused Charles, the whole team has been mediocre to subpar for a long while.

Even Houston set the most pedestrian, irrelevant, near sack record in NFL history.

The Faustian pact when Alex was brought here was 'get a GM who doesn't obsess over candy wrappers, and a competent coach. We'll build a team around Alex that can win.'

Well the team around Alex is just a reeruned as it was in 2012, there are still serious questions about the competence of coach and staff, and this is still supposed primarily a QB problem?

Alex probably has to go. Really, before we're good again almost all of them will go in some way or another. But we haven't learned learned jack shit about what it means to surrounding Alex with a good team, let alone an elite one. That's just wishing and praying for an easier to solve problem.

The Denver game broke us. That's how it seems to me. That was the game. We had it in hand and then the fumble. That was the back breaker.

It was our GM ignition of games.

Even if Charles doesn't fumble, we lose that game. Knew it with 6 minutes to go.

We had the Denver game in hand?

Wasn't the game tied and going into overtime?

Right off a short peer.

Probably time for KC to give up the 3-4 too...

Why? We have no front 7 issues whatsoever in our base set.

How many sacks has KC netted so far this year?

That's why.

How often do we rush the passer our of our base set? Not often. Besides our base defense is nearly the exact same alignment as the 4-3 under a lot of teams run. Probably with slightly different gap responsibilities though. And our lack of sacks has nothing to do with our base defense. Sutton not blitzing enough, sure. Sutton dropping our best pass rusher into coverage too much, sure. Our secondary not covering enough, sure. Houston being the only person generating any sort of pass rush, sure. Teams getting the ball our quick, sure.. None of these would be solved by switching over to a 4-3.

I do agree though that it is easier finding 4-3 players than 3-4 players though.
