I like to take advice about how we might better respect the women in our lives most when it's authored by some anonymous clown with a girl spread-eagle as his avatar. dunno bout u guys

As much as I hate to lose him, beating a woman should be an automatic release. There is no excuse for that.

We all knew there was going to be something.

This probably doesn't happen w/o a) Ray Rice and b) having Hill on the team.

Yeah, that Super Bowl they have is tainted in everyone's eyes....said no one

Not really sure how I'm feeling about this at the moment. On one side, I agree not to hit women. Other side is, Tyreek Hill question marks... The video is anything but "brutal." He pushed her twice with a guy mostly hanging on him and then the "kick" was anything but an attempt to actually hurt her. Looked more like just an insult than anything else.

So, in the end, if I"m going to put up with what Hill did on this football team, I'm going to ride through letting the NFL suspend Hunt and get him some counseling and move along with him instead of haphazardly releasing him because Clark's feelings got hurt that he wasn't given the whole truth. In terms of violence, this wasn't a Ray Rice level thing nor was it a Tyreek Hill level thing. Certainly, too many double-standards in play here.

Oh well, we move on. Next guy up.

THIS https://sports.yahoo.com/nfls-inabil...003038667.html

is exactly why Hunt and company did what they did (and so quickly).

suzzer99 11-30-2018 09:29 PM

Yeah it's gonna be a blast when the Pats win 3 Superbowls with him.

So, this is a fair question. Two answers:
1/ I might say it's bad judgment, but if she were shouting that he was a n***** for an hour outside of the door for a long time, I wouldn't fire him. He'd be on probation, but that sort of incitement is real and powerful and demeaning and does she deserve to be fully absolved in the entire thing? And is he fully responsible?
2/ My issue is more about this: If you saw the video 9 months ago and said, "you know what - she was calling him this and that and this is how he responded." And then your wife's best friend saw it and posted it on her Facebook timeline and you immediately felt the need to display how horrified you felt and fired him.

2/ is the issue for me.

Yeah, tell us all how you ripped Keith Ellison for beating the **** out of his GF. You know, where charges were actually filed. Oh yea, you can't.

HonestChieffan 11-30-2018 09:35 PM

Bad deal no matter what but Mr Hunt did the right thing. This team has the tools without all the negative signals keeping the guy around. Hope he gets his life in order and grows to be a man with some values .

The Chiefs will do great.
