Maybe I’m just an optimist, but let’s look at the facts here:

1. Mahomes is still good. This game won’t define him.
2. We still have Andy Reid
3. The Mahomes era baseline is 12 wins and hosting the championship game
4. Kelce and Tyreek are still in their prime
5. Our GM drafts well and can change things quickly to shore up a weakness into a strength

This is the 2019 off-season guys. We’ll get our defense fixed, a new WR and we’ll be ready to roll.

We still have a few years with this roster. I’m excited for the changes we’re about to make. I think some big ones are coming

There is nothing wrong with the Chiefs, that can't be fixed with whats right with the Chiefs

Well, I've basically hidden from the world for the past 24 hours. For those who might have been concerned, or hopeful, no I didn't die clutching my chest with one hand while throwing shit with the other and screaming obscenities at the TV. One thing I've learned over the years is this place is best avoided after a loss of this magnitude. Another thing I've learned is that it's best that I not post when I'm in the mood I was in after the game.

But after a day of contemplation, all I can say is meh. They've either sucked or choked as far back as I can remember. It's not like we shouldn't be used to feeling this way. Doesn't suck nearly as much having Super Bowl gear that's only two years old, though. Still one of the four best teams in the league, still own the division, still own Denver. Still have Pat.

As far as Pat's performance goes - it made me think of Falco's quicksand story from The Replacements. He completely and embarrassingly ****ed up that play to the end the first half, and then had all of halftime to dwell on it. Normally he gets past that shit - yesterday, he didn't.

He's still a kid. And he's human. Sucks, but we just need to move on.

So I'm moving on.

Reminds me of Paul Crew at halftime when he met with the Warden. Mahomes was Paul Crew but in reverse

When you see that play and how open both Kelce and Pringle are, and didn't know better, you'd think the mob got to Pat at halftime. I hope at some point he talks about that play just so we can hear what he was seeing.

The last time we lost the AFC Championship game, at home, in OT….we ended up winning the super bowl the following year.

I was upset more during the game than after it. turned it off after the OT pick.
got stuff ready for Monday, did some laundry, cooked some dinner and cleaned up. in bed by 9pm and got a good nights sleep.

These days, as opposed to my youth and up until the Raven's playoff loss in line 2010....I truly try not to get too invested emotionally in my teams. I enjoy the shit out of it when they're winning, and marvel at some of the big plays / big games etc....but when they whiff / choke, it doesn't bother me all that much.

aside from the annual "what should I do on Sundays now" question.....I'm good.



Plus, I never thought I'd EVER live to see the Chiefs go to the SB, let along win one; or go to back to back ones; or go to 4 Straight AFCCGs, so I try to keep things in perspective. acknowledging they blew it but recognizing we've had it really good / fun for 4 years straight.

Dissapointed is an understatement. It was bitter waking up this morning. But you move on.
Veach has a ton of work to do this offseason. Have to upgrade the secondary in a major way. We have several elite QBs in our conference now. Have to be ready.
I want that piece of shit Frank Clark gone. HB, goodbye. You ain't the same player anymore.
I want Sorensen gone. I wish Chris Jones can be traded for a couple of picks.
We have a great GM and the best QB so the future remains beight.

I'm old. For years and years, I thought I'd never get to see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl. Now I've seen it.

None of this shit hurts as bad now as it did before.
