If we can find suitable draft pick compensation, he’s probably ideal for the role he would play in KC.

GM-ing is easy.

Someone needs to PM Brad Vent on Facebook with this advice

A few thoughts - I have a funny feeling about AR. I think - 1) we (KC Chiefs my all-time #1 NFL team) will sign him and 2) He's my #1 choice and 3) I have a funny feeling it'll all mesh and his chemistry with Patrick will be phenom-level.

& sorry to embark on your Amari Coop thread champ.

Can’t be this simple or we would have done it. One of our 3rds, the COMP one preferably, and check WR off list.

Sign a safety and and Edge rusher in FA, and profit.

1st round - EDGE
2nd round - DB/Safety
3rd round - DT.
Etc
Etc
Etc

That would be insane!! Go get it done BURT!

PHOG 03-12-2022 09:47 AM

Yeah, I'm good with our comp 3rd for AR. WTH?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports “at least five teams” have talked to the Cowboys about Amari Cooper.

This comes after reports a trade market is developing for Cooper. The Cowboys are still trying to figure out what to do with Cooper and haven’t ruled out keeping him on a restructure. With Davante Adams, Chris Godwin, and Mike Williams off the market, teams are realizing a free-agent deal with Cooper could cost the $20 million per year he’s making with more upfront and guaranteed money. That makes a trade possible before the new league year, with Dallas asking for a third or fourth-round pick. The Browns are ‘real players’ on Cooper, while Miami is expected to have interest if he's released.

I dont see the Chiefs paying two WRs 20 million.

He isnt going to rework his deal to get paid less than he is worth.

They can extend him but then the expensive years will line up with hill if he gets an extension this year too.

Wisconsin_Chief 03-12-2022 10:54 AM

This sounds good, let’s get all the good players. That’s what should happen.

Easy to afford them, just switch all their positions to punter and then release them. Their ratings will all drop to like 12 overall so the rest of the league won’t even notice them. Then we can re-sign them for league minimum. Switch them back to their regular positions and their ratings go back to normal. Boom. Done. At least that’s how I always did it when I was a GM.

If he doesn’t…then his entire contract is non-guaranteed and he wouldn’t get any money up front in a signing bonus. Why wouldn’t he?

Because he can just get a completely new contract with more guaranteed money as a top tier free agent wide receiver.
