Have to give the KC Sports Commission and their World Cup bid committee credit for giving an accurate picture of how much Kansas City loves being included if we say we want to be in the show.

I don't think any of the cities left out have as many people really super bummed out as there would have been here.

I think most of the removed seats will be on the opposing team side because of the stairs to the locker room on the Chiefs side might be much more complicated to move.

Chiefs might put some rebuildable field level luxury lounge there in the extra space when it is a Chiefs game and not a soccer match.

Yes because all of the other host cities… despite spending significant time and resources promoting their candidacy as a potential host location would not be equally disappointed if they didn’t get selected.

Do you go out of your way to consistently post epic dumbshit takes?

That's cool but does anyone else think it's a bit odd that he's wearing his football uniform?

Nope its in the middle of an industrial park. Has no real value for commercial retail development.

Arrowhead was not a great venue for soccer mainly because it was 20% full on a good day, but for these games it will be full and will do just fine.

Most world cup matches have been staged at stadiums of 40-50,000, with the final being played in an NFL size stadium. In the US they will have the best venues they've ever had

It’s obvious many here commenting have never watched a World Cup game.

The women in the stands alone makes it a worthwhile event.

We’re talking waaaay beyond what you normally get at an NFL game

Should have worn a Kansas City Current jersey (wife is a part owner).

I'll go if tickets are reasonably priced

Or a Sporting KC kit, since you know, he's an owner of that team

Or the Royals or Denver Broncos since he's owner of both of them as well.

They are, sort of. FIFA says the pitch is (minimum) 110 yards by 70 yards or (maximum) 120 yards by 80 yards. So the field is long enough, but they'll need to take out some sideline seats. I would guess most NFL stadiums will opt for the 110 x 70 yard pitch.

I missed that somehow. I knew he owned part of the Royals. Did not know he owned part of Sporting.

For the World Cup? I'm sure FIFA controls the dimensions/size, and they will all be the same.

I was thinking the same thing. Why does he need to put the uniform on?
